The GM has already incorporated those reeling silk movements internally but one would be difficult to tell from their apparent movements. All Taiji styles can generate explosive power but some masters either don't know or don't want to teach easily. HY derives from Chen style & follows more closely to taiji principles in health & fighting issues. It can be practiced in low stance but not a must. Like other styles, HY & Chen should use weight (mass) instead of muscle power and/or coilng actions.
This is FZQ doing Hunyuan-as a general rule u dont do low stances in HY & for qigong reasons neither the explosive fajing but u can see he has incredible power. Yes HY is different from what CFK/CZK taught but there are reasons why he does what he does :)
I'm a beginner, I understand why their are no fajiing at Yang Style or maybe ...chen 1st form, but this is 2nd Form, may I know why he don't do fajing, is it no good to the human body?
If he is your grandMaster, try to study more about him, read his story. Don't just blindly follow, this is not the old days, no need to follow one sifu for life.
I only study Tai Chi at Toronto for 2 years, just a beginner, but did you remember the comment you put on my Sifu's Video? "Never seen the form done this way. Very odd. " The guy in the video is my Sifu, and he make me won 4 gold medal on the local push hand competition.
@waieric yeah what does GM Feng know? He only took on challengers on Chen Fake's behalf and was one of his main top disciples, trained under Hu Yaozhen and is recognised in China and internationally. Yeah what does he know right?
More words are useless. This is simply the best I have seen.

@taijiinchina
Chen Fake's explosive power can crack the tile by his feet and shake the Rooftop so dusk drop off...
waieric 2 years ago
Obviously you know better. You should give him some pointers and show him how it should be done. BTW how do you make the dusk drop off?
