You got Spore Creature Creator which is just the creating part of the game. The game you want is just called 'Spore' which has includes the Creature Creator as well as the other parts of the game.

The only online aspect of this game is the content download. well actually yes, but only in YOUR universe. The players planet himself stays unharmed from everything. He just receives a message of what other players have already done with it.

Think of it like this.

You have your own universe in your own game. You do whatever you want with it.

Now someone else has their own universe and own game and they blow up a planet.

That doesn't affect your game. It's not linked by internet.

THE ONLY INTERNET LINK, is getting creatures and stuff from other players via online works.

No, no. The game is designed to be single layer. The multiplayer aspect is downloading other people's creatures which are controlled by AI.

The only reason I think nobody has done this before is because they would go. "Wow, this game would be awesome! But, how the crap would I do it?" you know? 1) Probably not - you don't see the other than in that section.

2) Yes, you can flood them, create volcanos, fill the atmoshere with CO2 etcetera.

3) Not a clue. You probably can but I think it would be one of the last things to unlock.
