I saw that you friend has a Maxon od808 right? I wonder if you had the opportunity to compare with a ts808 Keeley? Why I want one of the two but does not know any, I heard that laugh Maxon has a more transparent sound that is true? a hug
I haven't had the oppotunity to compare the Maxon to the Keeley, but the Maxon is always on my pedalboard :-). I use it for comping, intros and some of my solos.
The solo is done with a Fender MIM with Kinman Trad Mkii pups, T-Rex Alberta and a Hughes & Kettner Edition Blonde (solid state). The backing track is Fender Concert (all tube) and Maxon OD808.
