that is all 20 archtypes. you get 3 races per each side. 2 of the races have 3 classes while elfs and chaos has all 4 of their races. Sorry they took out a few classes. so to not worry you will see many greenskin maurader.

I'm in beta atm playing a Witch Hunter and I have 0 problems with casters. My real problems come into play when fighting tanks that are focusing on me, such as Chosen. In my case, catching a caster primarily relies upon having at least one point of Accusation built up when I enter the fight. Hit them with Absolution which will snare, close the distance while tossing off Snap Shots. Once I get in melee, any caster is dead. It's really that simple. Casters do not survive melee in WAR.

If you look at 1v1 PvP that you are used to in many games. But if you have played DAoC, you will know that no such thing will happen in Warhammer. Granted, if both meelee and a nuker begin fighting in range, the nuker has upper hand. But what you are forgetting is that WAR PvP system is no ordinary one. You will have at least 8v8 or Hundreds vs Hundreds Pvp. You will have healers in the group; no matter how hard ranged class tries to kill a meelee, if they ignore to kill/interrupt healers,

the meelee will never die. So this is where the tactic such as assist train on healer, and peeling tanks attacking the healers come in to play. My friend, this is no orginary PvP :) It has alot of group dynamics and strategies involved.

anyway, I agree that group dynamics and strategy are going to be the way to go in WAR, but just because there's always a healer that doesn't mean it's good at it's job (for example, I watched my friend's Marauder get rolled by a bright wizard even though two zealots were with him, one of which was actually healing. not sure wtf the other one was doing)

even with the huge numbers of combatants that is going to be inevitable in WAR, ranged classes will still have the upper hand: the melee has to go to the caster to do damage; the caster has lots of breathing room. this is applicable to almost any game with PvP, of course, but therein lies the rub: since this game is much more group oriented than most, any melee unit that decides to run at their target is going to be assumed to be some uber deathdealer, and consequentially alpha striked

i'm not saying that melee is completely useless, because it's not :P the classes are balanced enough for anyone to be capable of killing anyone else, within reason, but some tweaking could still be done to make it even better, like some minor self-healing or abilities to make closing the distance easier- not too easy, mind, but easiER than it is right now. normally I wouldn't care if melee was sucky or not since I end up playing ranged classes, but y'know, I don't want my melee retinue to suck:P

I played WoW for about a year and a half and i got bored. tried AoC and its good at first but it gets boring fast, bland graphics, no color or anything but I like the mature content part. the combat was fun and theres no 10 year olds running around. but im not sure if i wanna try WAR cuz it looks REALLY cartoony and the combat looks slow. i like the pvp idea but EA is running the game which isnt a good thing..

read up on the lore, that's a pretty big heap you store in a short line there. Dark Elves use the powers of the chaos gods, they don't neccesarily try to control them I guess. it's more like "I sell my soul you gief power" kind of deal

I still appreciate the PvE-aspects of WOW; like the great quests, encounters and instances. But who the heck can like that after the 100th run for some item with 40 retards every evening?

WAR now takes the fun aspects of these things and puts them into a PvP-oriented MMO.

The whole campaign-system alone makes me wanna buy this baby...and I'm not even a good single-player PvP-R0XX0r. But this game encourages teamplay, so I guess this is my game for the next few years.

Apart from AOC, this game has the most really innovative aspects in recent MMO-history - and talking about AOC: in WAR they're already working in beta.

But when you're talking graphics, then...OK, WAR is not the pinnacle of technology..but then again - who cares about that?

The boring PvP of WoW is nothing compared to WAR, Ive always PvP'd and I can't wait for this game. Im loving that there won't be any stealth (there is but it isn't constant as the rogue stealth, more like 30 seconds). There won't be an overly high use of CC either here like WoW

I'm a WoW gamer with 2 70's and I am getting sick of all the grinding on that game, not only that, I'm getting sick of all the same repetitive PvP scenarios. Warhammer is sounding better and better, I personally can't wait for it. The RvR is gonna kick ass, and it seems like they're trying to take away the grinding of not only leveling but professions such as crafting as well and to all you people say the PvP looks slow and retarded, this is BETA TESTING!!!
