To me, Ashford & Simpson is the Ozzie Davis and Ruby Dee of R&B music. It stands forever. I have so much respect for their songwriting craftsmanship. They wrote anthems of love. "Ain't No Mountain High Enough", "Your Precious Love", "Your All I Need To Get By", "Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing" and this hit . It's the part of the soundtrack of my life. They later defined the NYC sound develped further by Chic, Luther Vandross, and others.
