The swift pace of the initial song is entirely inappropriate to the somber, stately pace of the drama. It's pop music that doesn't convey the seriousness of Karasu's mission. When the music shifts to an orchestral number that is far more effective when the demons appear for Shirasagi, the effect is a jarring one that only heightens the awkward unsuitability of the pop music in the beginning.
