But the assist devices are a good idea. Today, after a long day of museum crawling, I could have used one of those.

I don't see how this device would really help. what if someone has great difficulties bending there knees? this would be useless. looks like it only adds strength to the upper leg, so how would this make someone more "powerful"?

Well, I have a rare form of muscular dystrophy in my legs and feet. I have extreme fatigue even walking short distances. I have pain and it feels like I ran a marathon every day. I could see this giving my muscles a great deal of help in doing things like walking a normal pace without needing to sit down every 3 minutes! :)

I can't jog now either.
