The engine (13 KW) costs $ 9500.00 and the battery $ 2400.00. But I now use a 5 KW H battery (more then double the capacity) which costs $ 4400.00. A lot of money, but its worth it. No more oil change, filter change etc. - most important no water pollution and no dangerous (and expensive) petrol on board. As I charge the batteries with solar power I have no costs to operate the boat. The lithium batteries last for over 2000 cycles - which for me will be far over 10 years...
