  • the whole premise is that Barack Obama's policies will never ever work .

They have been tried else where and failed, which left countries worse off than they were before implementing them.

  • do you know what his poilicies are or do you listen to fox newh everyday and relegate all that they put in their talking point memos to your base. i am a goldwater conservative and what you see today is the exact oppossite of what goldwater intended in his ideology and various works that he wrote during his lifetime. try to understand what the issue before become judgemental about it and through that perhaps you can arrive to an impartial conclusion.

  • I agree with Rush. I also heard the interview, and I totally agree. I hope Obama fails on his policies and plans which will do nothing but hurt our country. I hope he finds it impossible to get his agenda passed. In fact as time goes on, I'm starting now to root for a new, smaller government, one like the government of a hundred years ago which didn't need an income tax to operate. Say no to big government!

  • WRONG ,,if our president fails,,we as a country fail,, WHY ARE YOU AGAINST AMERICA?

  • well sais my friend i hope all these narrow minded idiots understand your message and try to forego any of the hatred they have come to inhibit against the president of this country.

  • well you have made a very intersting point in your comment. first of all let me get something straight the reason we have income tax is because we have a very large country and id the requirements of everY single individuals are not met then they will ocme screaming nack to the government and blaming the government for lack of schools roads and other public facilites that make our lives easier on the daily basis and second if his policies fail this country fails my friend.

  • Schools, roads and most other public facilities are NOT paid for by income taxes! Income tax pays for the interest on the national debt, and bigger government.

If his policies succeed, America will fail. With each day that goes by I see more and more evidence that this president is the worst possible thing to happen to our country at this time. I do not hate him, I oppose him, and my opposition to him is increasing. I hope he fails, and I hope he fails soon, before he can do more damage.

  • I always wonder what his dad, Mike, thinks of his son's career in "journalism".

  • o Israel has killed Americans (eg. Sailors on USS Liberty, Rachel Corrie, etc...)

o Israel spies on this country.

o Israel blackmails our corrupt politicians.

    o Israel steals our taxes.

o Israel uses our country as their toilet.

Please distribute this post and tell your Senator and/or Representative about Israel's killing Americans, heinous crimes, stealing our taxes, and its spying on USA. Peace!

  • When Rush Limbaugh says "I want our Commander in Chief to fail" while we have troops in the field risking their lives for America, Rush Limbaugh is spitting right in the faces of our troops, in my opinion.

That's almost as bad as calling on the enemy to "bring it on" while they're attacking and killing our troops.

    Treason.

  • "I want his policies to fail". How's that different than "I want Obama to fail". The effect is the same, he wants the economy of this country to collapse (even more than it did during Bush), just to justify their obsession with "small" government.

  • No Chis Wallace of GOP-TV News. Rush repeatedly says, "I hope he fails," then tries to qualify it like a Rev. Wright "Not God bless America, God Damn America" speech.

Rush can afford for the country to fail, millions of voting Americans can not.

  • Jokey McJokenheimer.

  • You are a joke.

    No explanation needed.

Didn't realize that only liberals call people jokes.

    You're real mature.

  • You are a complete joke.

  • Lol Troll. What a little kid

  • Pork =! socialism

Pork = corporate greed and handouts.

    Obama isn't socialist at all.

    AND, socialism isn't inherently bad.

  • still, I like the idea of building bridges and trains instead of funneling billions of dollars to your buddies and your dad's buddies through no-bid contracts.

  • Mike Wallace must be ashamed of his son.

  • limbaugh never mentioned the word "policies". this news guy is a liar.

  • even so, if his policies are designed to rescue the economy, stop foreclosures and pushing families into the streets and finish our wars in iraq and afghanistan.

If you want him to fail, in his policies, what specifically would that look like?

more economic decline, more families pushed onto the street (1 in 50 u.s. children are homeless right now) and more violence in iraq and afghanistan.

  • Left, right, left, right. Enough of this shit. There is no left. There is no right. There is only up and down - Americans are down, and the government's boot is on their collective neck, resting comfortably as it has for decades.

  • The Ds learned from the Swift Boaters that you can't ignore attacks from the right.

  • Well before I can go to sleep need to respond to TAMARLANE's statement "Government historically has not been a great solver of problems. It has been a great waster of money."

Please think back on the TVA. Without it, I would not have power to my house, irrigation for my food, roads to the west.

When you say the government waste money, I say, without government large projects would not get done. I like my highways (Thnx IKE!), I like my power (thnx FDR), I like getting my mail (thnx BF)

  • "Please think back on the TVA. Without it, I would not have power to my house, irrigation for my food, roads to the west."

Take a look at the bigger picture.

  • I need to go to bed. I've got to work in the morning. But I would like to thank both Tamarlane and Weddel for their opinions. I appreciate listing to both sides. I certainly realize I don't have all the answers. It's good to hear both sides. I always liked debate in college because it forced you to argue one side on Monday and anther side on Tuesday. I really wish more people would look at both sides. I know we have our differences, but in the end we are all americans wanting what's best for USA

  • Right. My family and friend have fought in most wars. I can't speak for myself about the wars as I served 6 years in peace time,) but my dad fought in Vietnam (2 terms) and my grandfather was in WWII. I realize government get's it's money from me. I have no problem paying my taxes. I do have a problem when my right wing friends don't want to pay their taxes. When they say, the government does nothing for them. Yet when they lose their jobs, "Hello, government, please help me".

  • I don't know about your right wing friends who don't want to pay their taxes. No one I know, right of left really likes giving up too much of their money in taxes. Especially if they don't agree with the way their taxes are being spent. Bush had it wrong on spending, and Obama seems to have it more wrong. "You can't spend yourself rich" as the saying goes.

Government historically has not been a great solver of problems. It has been a great waster of money.

  • I've worked since I was 14 years old. Actually 40+ hours a week since I was 16. I'm not asking for a hand out and have never taken one. But I have seen injustice and I'm not just talking about welfare cheats. I'm talking about cities using tax dolloars to build staduims for sports teams (i.e. the Texas Rangers) . Do I get angry when I hear about welfare cheats, illegal aliens getting free health care or corporations like Cabela's getting undeserved tax dollars. YES!

  • Your right about my name. I'm a nobody. But I love this country and would like to think my vote counted. I have family and friends but frankly when it comes to fighting other countries, building roads, creating Dams and solving medical issues that might not have a pay off for many years, they don't do a very good job.

  • Where do you think the government gets its' money if not from people like your family and friends? Who fights our wars if not your family and friends.

  • Thanks Tamarlane - So what do Conservative Independant Americans believe as opposed to Replublicans?

  • Republicanism is dead. Conservatism is alive and well. What do you on the left believe to counter conservative values?

  • Tamerlane - Is your name based on the Timuird Dynasty Tamerlane? That was short lived... Whe you say, "Rush is not republican." I'm well aware of Rush's acclaim of being a "conservative and not a Republican". Please inform me who the leader of the, "conservative independent Americans" and I'll speak to their views.

  • You may as well speak with me. We are pretty much agreed on our views. We are looking for a Savior, one like Obama, to represent us. It is not going to be Rush.

  • noone.

Your name is based on noone. Even shorter reign than Tamerlane's. Tamerlane was Tatar. The only sort of household name I could find to represent Tatars. I considered Rudolph Nureyev, but he was gay.

Rely on your family, your friends and your neighbors, and the rest will take care of itself, is a good place to begin discussing conservatism.

  • Wedell - You sound like a reasonable person. If you spoke for the Republican party, I would listen. I agree about the limits of any one man including George Bush. But..... Not subjective, quatitiative (look it up). Bush cut funds to regulatory agencies. The thing is, Republican's don't like government in peoples business (unless it's religeon or pro-life). That's their whole platform. Government is bad. All I'm saying from the left is, why not let government help where it can?

  • Chris Wallace is right.

  • sweetie, I know that you are a troll, and I usually don't feed the trolls, but I will try to educate you.... I heard the entire interview that Rush did with Hannity not just the snip that this guy is talking about. Do your homework, listen to the interview in it's entirety and then you will be able to discuss intelligently. Right now, you just look stupid.

  • I don't agree with everything the Democrates say. But after 8 years of Bush saying everything was going great when people knew it wasn't and then listening to Reps and right wing radio defend everything he said. I'm tired of it. Give someone elses ideas a chance.

  • In the world of superficial intellect, you might qualify to be a court jester.

Your observations are so totally inane that I cannot think of the words to respond.

    Rush is not republican.

    He is conservative.

Railing against republicans is like hunting for the Dodo bird. Repubulicalns are extinct, You should recalibrate your attacks and go after conservative independent Americans. That is where the real action is.

  • test

  • This is nothing more than a Democrat media campaign to distract from the real issues. Democrats, not only wanted, but worked to cause President Bush to fail. Rush is honesty about his opposition to President OBama and his socialist agenda. Why not talk about the issues?

  • Inyeresting..... Dems wanted Bush to fail? Why? It's all of our country. The Republicans ran the show for 6 of Bush's 8 years and the two where they had the power to stop Bush policies they chickens out because they didn't want to appear to be against the soldiers (which I too as a Dem didn't want to see). Bush put us in Iraq (and please don't say 9/11 cause that's just dumb and has been proven over and over again). I didn't want Bush to fail! But he did and he did it using Conservative methods

  • And when I say conservative methods I mean, he cut taxes, cut oversite, watched New Orleans flood from a plane. Insisted we were winning a war that EVERYONE including his generals said we had no way of winning. He threw good money after bad in Iraq (cause he didn't wan to, nor to my knowledge ever admitted a mistake of any kind). He did everything he wanted to with the support of republicans. Now I'm supposed to believe the Republicans have the answers. Sorry "fool me once......"

  • President Bush did not cut oversite. He did cut taxes and it actually increase receipts to the treasury and benefited the economy. What he did not do, was CUT spending. New Orleans was a DEMOCRAT catastrophe, both the mayor and governor were democrats and incompetent.

The war is Iraq was and has been won. It has forced the terrorists to confront our military and suffer tremendous losses.

  • He didn't cut oversight? Where was the SEC (run by a Bush appointee). Where was the oversight on the poison toys from China, the salmonilla peanuts.

And when you say Bush was not respondsible for New Orleans, I agree. Unfortunatly, while the Mayor was screaming for help everyday on TV, Bush was telling "Brownie" he was doing a "Heck of a job". Again - Bush killed your party. Clinton killed the Dems and thank god Hillary didn't win. She's more crooked that he was. Give Obama a chance at least

  • You are ALWAYS going to have these things under any administration. You could never have enough inspectors or auditors to prevent these things. The government passes laws believing that the laws alone will make a difference.

As for the Mayor screaming for help, he is still screaming. He sent all these people to the dome and then abandon them. He had buses and refused to use them. Having a different FEMA director would not have made any difference. The government is limited.

  • They did not stop President Bush because they knew he was right. Democrats have the advantage of being on both sides of an issue at the same time. The media never holds them accountable.

We invaded Iraq for the right reasons and it has produced the desired results. You won't see that because you have bias against Bush.

President Bush was NOT a conservative. Never followed conservative principles.

  • Let me put it this way. I'm pretty much a blue dog democrate. I voted for Bush in 2000. I was wrong. I made a mistake! I tried to change that in 2004, but Bush won again. The problem for the Republicans as I see it, is the #1 and #2 Republican that we all remember is Bush and Chaney (not good for the party). So who are the Republican heros right now? Joe the Plumber, Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh (and the rest of talk radio), Ann Coulter? The Republican's really need a "normal" person to lead.

  • That's because you have allowed the media to warp your thinking. Rush Limbaugh is a conservative TALK SHOW HOST. He is not the leader of the Republican party. Whether you agree or disagree with him, he has nothing to do with the Republican party.

There are no heroes in the Republican party right now. John McCain was picked by the media and then caused to fail by the media. President OBama did not win because he was smart or better. He won because the media wanted him to win.

  • If Rush is, in your words, "Whether you agree or disagree with him, he has nothing to do with the Republican party." Why do NO republican's stand up to him. Steele was pretty much defending hom on Hugley's show (as I saw it), then listening the next day Rush rips the RNC chairman a new "you know what". I think someones (Obama people most likely) on to something. Rush does speak for Republicans. If not would one just stand up and say so. Please!

  • Steele allowed himself to be manipulated into saying something about Rush that was absolutely WRONG. That is what he got rip for. Rush does not speak for Republicans. Many Republicans have said so, and Rush has said so.

This is nothing more than a Democrat media ploy to distract from what President OBama is doing. Since the Democrats cannot refute Rush's words, they are attempting to isolate him. It is a BIG MISTAKE. One that Clinton made as well.

  • "The war is Iraq was and has been won." Hurray! Can we leave now? Thanks George Bush, that was a great success for our country.

  • I thought President OBama promised to bring all the troops home. What is he doing now?

The war was necessary to protect the country. Iraq is now a democratic nation in the Middle East.

  • Goddamn. You are so loaded with inaccuracies it's dazzling. "The war was necessary"? To keep the arms contractors happy, yes.

"Obama is a socialist"? I'm afraid once you've said that you've lost all credibility.

  • Actually Chris, Rush said in response to a 400 word of hope on the Obama presidency, "I don't need 400 words I just need four....... I hope he fails". He didn't sugarcoat it with specifics. Which is why he's Rush, the leader of the Republican party.

  • Even if we assume for a second, that Rush was talking about BHO´s policies and not about BHO himself, what difference doest this make? BHO was elected on the basis on his plans/policies and NOT on the basis of his impressive personality. I am a conservative (check my profile!!!) BUT I hate it, when people like Chris or Rush try to put a spin on something that is so obvious!!!

  • ditto that, bobhardball

  • Rush Limbaugh and the hypocritical behavior of most Republican leaders are the main reason why I am more than ready to give BHO a chance in ´12, if his plans/policies succeed. ´Cause as an independent leaning conservative, I am no more ready to take orders from a self-contradicting and lying fat moron like Rush. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
