The music accompaniment on this song (and all the songs on this album) was NOT original. I found this same version of the song by a so-called group called the Larry Heath Big Band, only it's instrumental. But the accompaniment is exactly the same.
does anyone here remember the name of the album that had all of the songs like this on it? I remember listening to it when I was a kid in the 80's and I loved it, but I can't find it today

@ronedge02 The album is Disney Children's Favorites (which comes in 4 volumes). The guy who sings it is Larry Groce, and I collect his albums.

This is my favourite version of Silent Night ever! (2nd is the Silent Night on the Disney Christmas sing a long, and 3rd is Celtic Woman singing it).
