  • Nice video...ATP Rock !!

  • this is a GREAT VIDEO! btw... would a cessna citation 500 be able to be flown with single pilot? or does it have to be both pilot/co-pilot?

  • @parkflyer23

The reason that would not be a good Idea is the workload for the captain. A copilot is an amazing tool to have :) Imagine trying to fly the plane while trying to grab the Landing Procedures checklist and drink your coffee at the same time!

  • @the1bigace It really is not that bad. I have the 'S' rating for the Citation and as long as you have an excellent A/P, it makes the workload a lot easier. Hint, start on your approach early and set it all up. Love the video.

  • i flew this bird into orlando. awesome experience

  • Ah Craig Airport... my dad used to work there at the FSDO before it shut down.

  • Do you fly right or left seat with ATP? I was looking at this program after I finish my ratings, but I never really understood what the benefit was. Do you get a type rating or is it just jet time to log?

  • wht type of citation is this airplane?

  • Sweet vid. How much time did you log at ATP with the citation?

  • stupid kid

  • wow, that was turbulent!

  • Is this the Citation 650?

  • Pretty low...

.....and.....did I hear the stall warning horn for a few seconds?

  • @mahnarch

I believe that was a marker

  • Yes. "Beep" not "Bzzz".

Also.... how is the camera able to pick up ATC and environment clearly?

Was it plugged into the COM?

  • do you no anything about poilting that was a good landing

  • Earned my PPL ASEL in 2002....

It's a pilot pasttime to rib each other on their landings.

[Even if it was good, we mock/joke about it - all in fun..]

We even have sanctioned tournaments (similar to bowling) where we try to land in the shortest distance and judge each other.

    :)

  • Lovely video. Well done.

  • Great Job!

  • looked like a pretty low approach, but otherwise good.

  • wow! good landing!

i have one question! where can you see the runway? do you have instruments for this? i dont know, im 14 =)

    thx

  • There are many tools that pilots use to establish location, Do some research on VOR and IFR and VFR landings. Also DME instruments. Many aircraft also have GPS.

  • they´ve got gps ;)

  • VFR nor IFR are hard its just your skills and knowledge

  • in 20 years of flying and 8,000 hours, I've never heard anything as stupid as what you just said.

  • lol kinda new at aviaton i see?

any questions i can anwser for you so you dont appear so ignorant?

  • What the heck are you talking about???

  • Mouseclick You are a armchair pilot

  • What the hell are you talking about.......?

  • MouseClickMedia

  • nice landing, Im currently flying 172's. i hope someday i can fly these!

  • Is a Learjet flight smooth like other airlines?

  • nice landing

  • you A pilot

  • Thanx .. finishing up my helicopter private sinc i started it . and was thinking about getting current back in fix-wing..

  • subscribe to cessnaman293! i may not have any videos, but i am encouraging you, yes you, all plane lovers, pilots, and flight enthusiasts to subscribe, post more plane videos, and be happy! remember, dont forget to comment

  • This wasn't ILS approach

  • Why do you say that?

  • LOL. We came out of class A airspace which means i need instrument airplane and be on an ifr flight plan.

  • @fr33fr0mlif3 is there an approach pattern for an ILS landing or is it a straight shot in?

  • @mydoggracie1 Straight in.

  • Best plane ever

  • thats because the cursor was your own, now that just made me fcking LAUGH... without idiots in the world, it would be such a dull place.

  • you can see the cursor

  • the graphics are beautiful! What kind of motherboard are you using? SLI?

    Happy simming

  • are you serious?

    This is real life...

  • You think this is a flight sim?!

You are dense. NO COMPUTER IN EXISTENCE could possibly put out those kind of graphics. This is REAL LIFE, an danlapenna said above.

And SaraxKevorkian, I looked everywhere and I see no cursor other than my own. :P

  • Sorry. I was trying to put this under muetter's comment.

  • HAHA cmon. Its a joke, dont be so dense! obviously if i play flight sim I should recognize this as something else. :p

  • ha ive flown this plane before

i believe thats phil teaching him 2 fly the plane

    airline transport professionals

  • Yeah Phil was his name. Been so long since I watched this video. good times.

  • @fr33fr0mlif3 Oh you went to ATP? which location? I've heard the one in Arlington,TX is the best.

  • is that a citation 2?

  • i think its a cj1 if its atp

  • that s really a truth landing coz i was on board........

  • oh yea...very fake! o.O

  • idiot.... stop playing games and start living!

    nice landing! ;)

    Congratulations! :)

  • EYYYYYY !!!!! MY BRO FLY A CJ3 In MEXICO!!

  • Ok, thank you. I'm taking it your a pilot. I've just started my training. I'm up to advanced stalls :D and I've done one session of circuits. Its been great.

  • You misread my post or maybe I wasn't clear.

I never said that he didn't need the endorsement or ratings to give instruction. I said I didn't need them for instructional purposes.

  • Great video...exhilarating touch down...

  • Are you In A Flight school? It looks like it might be ATP.... I did My airline pilot Training in the citation and in Jacksonville.

  • what age can u start flight school at?

  • Basically any age, and its not a school, you just schedule for yourself.

  • ohhh kinda like swimming lessons or piano lessons right?

  • hah, yeah i guess

  • What license do u need to fly a Citation CJ? Cessna's site says that it is single pilot certified, Does this mean that one pilot can fly it? If it only takes one pilot to fly it im gonna get a CJ4 if i ever get a spare nine million lying around. Screw having some won fly me around, I wanna fly it myself.

  • Yes all of the CJs are single pilot certified meaning you only have to have one person in the flightdeck. Good luck with the saving! ;o)

  • Are you In Flght School

  • Cool video. I liked being able to hear the other pilot and the radio. Good work.

  • JabJab1234: My friend is a CFII qualified to train in the CJ3. No endorsement for instructional purposes is necessary.

To fly as Pilot in Command, you'd need a Type rating along with an endorsement by a check pilot.

Flying the plane was not hard at all but managing the systems is another thing all together. Landing speeds are somewhat higher but the plane was rock solid making directional control easier on approach than lighter aircraft.

    FYI-no insult taken

  • Thanks for not playing awful music.

  • I've been flying since 1988 but nothing more than 172,182 type aircraft and a great friend recently took me along in a CJ3.

We were about 15 miles from the airport and he looks over and says take it in. I said you are kidding and he said nope, just fly a good right hand pattern like you would a 182.

It was one of my best landings ever. I got to do it again a few days ago and I'm addicted now!

  • How are you allowed to land a CJ3 without an endorsement for that aircraft ? and you have no experience flying jets...(I'm not a pilot myself, but if you don't have the training and endorsement how could you land such a sophisticated aircraft. Maybe its all similar in the end just with more power.) I'm not trying to insult you or call you a liar I was just wondering.

  • Honestly, you can fly any airplane you want, but the Pilot in Command assumes responsibility at all times. Some Cessna pilots let their children land the plane, even though they aren't technically student pilots or certified. It's still the PIC's responsibility.

  • not too shabby. looks fun

  • nice landing! that was a cool vid

  • Nice landing

  • Mr Bush?

  • the beeping sound in the cabin indicates ILS catIII approach..

  • why would they do a ils landing when theres no fog, rain or wtv!!!

  • Wow you're an idiot

  • check out my piper warrior landing (im only 14)

  • youre coming in just little too hot

  • awesome work man!

  • Wow great job..that was cool to hear him talk you through it and especially when you were right on the glide slope he says 2 red and 2 white, thats good.

  • ive got to say that was very well done..

  • woww awesome dude!

im also flying cessnas.. still on the 172's though haha

    which airport is this?

  • made me a little nervous but you did good

  • nice

  • Great landing!

  • What? 400K? Mostly all 2007's and newer will run no more than 260K and come fully equipped with the G1000. Anything older will run no more than 150 and up. 400K will buy you a new Cirrus SR22. do a little research next time bud.

  • agreed

  • well done mate.

  • nice landing

  • Nice landing and great footage...

  • great landing looked like a pro!

  • so much for a sterile cockpit... jk i understand you were training

  • nice and clear landing

  • Nice

  • awesome landing

  • ACTUALLY I know the actual prices for the Cessna 750 Citation X. The base price is 22 million. Thats just the body no inside, no cokpit, no engine no nothing, just the body. However if you want the actual plane your looking in for about 44 million.

  • Actually you are right I was thinking of a Cessna Mustang VLJ

  • 44 million dollars for that plane?? That's about what's cost the Brasilian presidential plane (an Airbus A-319, all modified to be let's say, presidential).

  • that is awesome!

  • how much do those planes cost?

  • $2.8m

  • oh fuck me and call me suzi lol. I was thinking about buying a clean used one, but it's way too expansive. I think i'll just buy me a bran new cessna 172

  • how much is a new cessna 172 with the G1000 equiped and how much is it with no G1000

  • A brand new 172 with G1000 will run you apox. anywhere from $300,000 to $450,000, but without the G1000, you can get one for maybe $150,000 to $280,000

  • The G1000 glass cockpit system adds 200k to the price? Holy shit.

  • yea i know me and my dad are trying to save up to buy one

  • yea dude, G1000 is very expansive, sometime the same price as the plane!

  • lol. He goes in way too low!

  • I'm a KSTATER, done a couple 525 trips. Work in wichita now in the Citation X sim.... a lot more of a handful. Will also be doing a lot of 650 work in the next year, good luck. KState has a great program.

  • nice

  • I'm a senior, graduating in May. Got hired as a CFI last semester and I'm working on my CFII. You planning on doing the Bachelor degree?

  • Have any flight time logged yet?

  • Hey nice landing man. I fly the Kansas State University Citation 525 occasionally and they are a blast! Blue skies and tailwinds to ya!

  • I was out there in Selina for NIFA Natioansl a few years back. Great trip!

  • Are you a Master CFI? I'm not really familiar with NIFA but a few instructors out here are members as Master CFI's.

  • Are you a Master CFI? I'm not really familiar with NIFA but a few instructors out here are members as Master CFI's.

  • I'm familiar with that term. I went out to support my team (I wasn't on it at the time)

  • I'll also be heading there in the fall. I'd love to get some time in the 525!

  • How many hours do you get on the Citation 525 doing the high performance and high alt endorsements at ATP? I'm looking seriously at doing the ATP 90 day course in Sacramento. Nice vid.

  • this is a cool video!

  • Your approach seemed a bit low.. A little rough conditions though. Well done.

  • I want to train in a Citation!!!!!! Citation > 172 anyday!!

  • I love flying the Citation Mustang. Got fly 3CM a few months back. Purchased one at a premium, but well worth the price.

  • God damn i want to be a airliner pilot!

  • Their in need now. All airlines are lowering their standard for pilots. There's a huge shortage I guess.

  • nice airplane.

  • No, thats the AutoPilot coming off, you can say just about anything in a cockpit and nobody's going to sensor your language.

  • Dude...you must be *rich* if you get to play

    in a Citation. :-)

  • That was a great landing. Was the air really rough, or was that just the camera man moving around?

  • was this the high altitude endorsement flight for ATP training down at craig?

  • impossible to get in cockpit 2day lol!

  • nice job man. im no expert at flying but that didnt look far off perfect *claps*

and btw is that the same flight as the take off video?

  • Good straight approach and smooth clean landing! Nice work!

  • Nice landing! Would love to have been there.

  • Wow, nice landing! Which Citation model is it, anyway?

  • Citation 525

  • Great landing, congrats.

  • A person with no sense of humor might see it that way. I've told that joke b4 and had ppl laugh so wtf...

  • Stewardesses are known to bang pilots often....That's why they call it a cockpit.

  • that is the most retarded thing i have ever heard anyone say.

  • Therein lies the humor...

  • their was no humor in that. that was 100 percent immaturity.

  • Will Someone Please PM a way to get started on my pilot certification stuff, Im 15 and really want to get going on it.

  • I just sent you a message.

  • Beautiful approach, the greatest way to build time is in a Citation I or II, they may be be slow but thats the name of the game until your sitting right seat at a Legacy. Good Luck!

  • This was a training session wasn't it? In any case, Fantastic flying!

  • I like how the instructor worked the student.

  • Hi I'm a 14 year old Student Pilot from San Diego. I love Cessna Citations I want to fly one of those babies someday, I fly a cessna152 right now and they are freaking crammy but they are light atleast....Nice landing, almost on center line!close!

  • Im a student @ ATP Sacramento, can't wait to get in that Citation in a few months...ahh the smell of leather, jet fuel and FL350

  • Nice video of your landing. Which model Citation is it?

  • easy jet to fly. Nice video.

  • I've been flying around teaching in Mooneys. The Citation looks amazing!!

  • That is an advantage of ATP.At Embry Riddle all we get is the CRJ level D.It counts as actual hours but it does'nt beat the real thing. Lucky rat!

  • Very good landing! And it was your first time in a Citation???

  • you got a handful flying that aircraft! those things are a bear for sure, nice landing.

  • Thanks. It was fun. And yes it was a handful. The crossing restriction really got me good. A lot of work but I made em all

  • I hold a Private Pilot Single Engine Land Multi Engine Land Instrument Rating Commercial Airplane Land and in about 1 week my MEI

  • Sweet vid bro! Just finished the private program @ JAX. Ahh good old CRG! Goin to Daytona for the rest.

  • Dont be landing at any military airfields!!! ha ha. Or hopefully DeLand. Freaking Regional Airline Fools

  • I land at Wright-Patt all the time.

  • Nice landing man, what school do you go to? ERAU?
