By the root meaning of the "emo" Yeah he is.He is very emotional,he shows what he is truly feeling while singing songs HE wrote about REAL things in life,for the most part.He doesn't write songs with a panel of writers to create a marketable product.He has emotional ties to his music.And thats as real as it gets,which is one the main reasons I love him. And if modern music had more soul,and less put on showmanship, I would have a little more hope in it,and ultimately Humanity.

Haha that's a bassoon...and they are only the same in that they use double reeds. Contras play much deeper, sound different, and have different fingerings from a bassoon.
