so this is how i see things: al di meola and john are both masters by their own right, but in order to keep up with the inhuman paco they have to use guitar picks

That's because Al and John play Fusion Jazz ( which is traditionally played with a pick), not Flamenco. If it were someone like Victor (Serranito) Monge ( who also has tremendous picado speed) instead of McLaughlin and Di Meola, it would be a different scenario altogether.

I know that you just have to listen to apprecaite the talent of these three masters, but the only thing that I dont like about the video is the fact that the focus seems to be on Al di Meola and Paco, John Mclaughlin's solos and embellishments are not shown as much... It's my personal opinion...

Al di Meola entra cruzado!!!! Si cuentan por 2/4 entra en el tiempo 2 y si contamos en 4/4 entonces entró en el tiempo 4. Fíjense en la cara que pone el pobre!! jajaja Será por esto que Paco prácticamente ya no tocó más con él?? jajajaj... Paco y Mc Laughlin los mejores. Lejos!!

@Mellevaelslide Compadre: lo que digo yo ocurre en el segundo 46. Cuenta el compás que lleva el apanhado de Paco por 2/4 y te darás cuenta que Di Meola entra cruzado (justo en la entrada del arpegio de la intro) ;)

muy exelente todo solamente que la guitarra de John McLaughlin no se si son las cuerdas o la acustica de la guitarra pero el sonido es como si estirara las cuerdas o estuvieran muy viejas las cuerdas pero exelente el maestro paco de lucia al di meola y John McLaughlin muy bien exelente video
