@izafreakinbella Thanks for your comment! I'm sorry but at the moment is not avalaible on iTunes Store. We are in this days searching a Record Label that can publish our recordings. We are working for this. We'll notice you when you can find this piece on iTunes. Thanks a lot. Atem Quartet
Complimenti.
the original score. The third reason is that there are other Glass scores that present duboius notes. For example Facades presents many interpretations in some score points.
We like the I movement theme in this interpretation. If you don't agree our interpretation choises we accept all constructive criticism, but I want to clarify that this is not an oversight.
Thank you for posting your comments. They contribute to our refinement.
@Teosax It's reassuring to know that you made a conscious musical decision, however I discussed this with Christine Rall (soprano for the Rascher quartet) and she said that Philip told her the note is supposed to be an F natural. She even said she would have preferred it to be an F#, but the correct note is F natural. That said, there are many many other misprints in this entire piece, one being the C naturals the alto plays 6 bars before the recapitulation - they should be C sharps.
Regarding the F# in measure 10, this is a voluntary choise. When we was recording Glass Saxophone Quartet, we had treat of this problem and we had choose the F# sharp for many reasons. The first reason at this point we are in armonic G minor, the second reason is that the composer in the original score pinpoint a F# and not a F natural. This could be a misprinting, it's true. The Rascher version and the orchestral version play a F natural. But in this case we had choose the F# playing exactly
I am astounded that professional ensembles could play this misprinted note and not realize it! It would be less humiliating to simply make a mistake during a performance than to actually intend to play a wrong note and succeed. They must not have really listened to the orchestral version.
Siete bravissimi complimenti!!!

the F# in measure 10 in the soprano part is a misprint. It should be an F natural.

Yeah, pity about the wrong note. Amstel also played the wrong note on their CD release of the piece.
