Legalize Hemp & Marijuana in gerneral, not only just for medical reasons. There's many industrial products Hemp (male plant), create that are enviromentally safe & Marijuana (female plant) that helps people for many different useful reasons as well as medical.

If we all stopped smoking weed as good as we can and then fight for legalization by organising massive protests and trying to convince everyone that it has to be legalized, we could have it legal very soon.

Anyone heard of someone beating up someone (or "just" beating his wife or kids) because he was high? Heard of anybody disturbing people (not "normal" disturbing but like drunk people do) because he was high? Heard of someone dying from overdose? Seen someone puking and pissing everywhere because he was high?
And while high you can still work quite normal (maybe shouldn't be doing dangerous work or other work where you need a clear mind but thats about it. Working drunk on the other hand...
The world should just look at Holland. I mean, its "legal" (more like tolerated) since a long time and there are no big problems, people aren't lazy, less criminalty, less money spent on fighting crime and high tax income. And since its allowed less people start with it because its more fun when its illegal ;).
And if you want to smoke you'll always find a place to get it anyway. I just can't see any reason why it should be illegal. And alcohol is no better, even worse...

I'm pro cannabis, but I can see why it is illegal. Here are some of the reasons, according to me.
They = all governments
1. They claimed it was bad, they feel they have to stick by it, political reasons.
2. It makes you lazy, so would reduce production. However, I feel that we can control ourselves easily.
3. Money.
If anything, ban alcohol and make weed legal. Alcohol causes death, damages society, is addictive, and costs a lot of money to fix (medical, repair, and control costs)

The 10th amendment gives each state the right to dictate themselves with minimal interference from the Federal level. Negative. There is a difference between the high of marijuana and say for example Meth. Marijuana is a chill drug, as in you chill out in mind, body, and soul, and it has a tendency to make one hungry. Meth on the other hand keeps you up for days, suppresses hunger, and easily creates a powerful chemical dependency (addiction). Cocaine is similar to Meth in it's characteristics but cocaine is also a local anesthetic and not as powerful as meth as an upper, unless you rock it up into crack.
i know the highs are different but basically everyone that does coke and all that shit started out on pot because they said they got bored of it. so the people that are on heroin say pot started it all for them. my two cousins are on heroin and they tell me that all the time telling me never to do it

@heroicwaffles As a cigarette smoker who smokes weed and drinks alcohol, I have to say that between the 3 when used responsibly canabis is the best one, people are relaxed and talkative, and have a better sense of humour, when affected by the latter, cigarettes are more of an affliction than a recreational activity, and alcohol can make a bad mood as easily as cure it.

Thats a good point man, however, in the sad reality of things, there will always be religious people because no one can prove something non-existent. There will always be that confused, week willed and open minded teenager that seeks guidance in the bible. I think the way to legalize cannabis would not be to hope on the rise of atheism, but to get the religious people on our side. The bible clearly states in Genesis that God has planted every seed, to grow as plants, to be used as food.
It also states that you must abide by the laws of the land, but not if it goes against your beliefs. So technically, when we now look at the essential nutrients of fatty acids in the seed, and the benefits of both the industrial and the natural plant, we can clearly see that Christians should be fighting for the freedom of Cannabis.
All of this "Medical Marijuana" garbage is ridiculous. People have had pains for millenia. Did they need highs to get over emotional/pain? Meditation and reasoning are much more effective substitutes. Also, using drugs does not fix the problem- Just like with pain-killers. If you want to solve the problem with emotional pain, then find the source of the pain and resolve it, don't resort to dangerous drugs. "Solutions are always better than hold-over measures."
Marijuana isn't dangerous. The overdose doesn't kill, and the combined chemicals of the drug actually suppress lung cancer...And yes, people did need highs to get over emotions and pain. Some queens used it to alleviate menstrual cramps. I use it to get over stress. Also, THC has been shown to actually stimulate brain cell growth.
Wait until one of your family members or someone you care about gets cancer, MS, AIDS, glaucoma, or the hundreds of other illnesses marijuana helps. Then lets see if you tell them to "meditate" or "reason"...the pain away. Who said using marijuana would "fix" the problem? No one ever said weed cures anything. Marijuana is a proven pain reliever, muscle relaxer, alleviant for things like stuttering, seizures, nausea and countless others not a cure all, as you so vaguely labeled it.

I'm pro cannabis, but I can see why it is illegal. Here are some of the reasons, according to me.
They = all governments
1. They claimed it was bad, they feel they have to stick by it, political reasons.
2. It makes you lazy, so would reduce production. However, I feel that we can control ourselves easily.
3. Money.
If anything, ban alcohol and make weed legal. Alcohol causes death, damages society, is addictive, and costs a lot of money to fix (medical, repair, and control costs)

The 10th amendment gives each state the right to dictate themselves with minimal interference from the Federal level. Anyone can grow it easily and you can make thousands of products out of it which is terrifying to big business. It is the best source anyone knows of for fuels. The strapped gas masks to the monkeys and over a period of 3 months forced 63 columbian grade joints worth of cannabis smoke into the masks within 5 mins. Negative. There is a difference between the high of marijuana and say for example Meth. Marijuana is a chill drug, as in you chill out in mind, body, and soul, and it has a tendency to make one hungry. Meth on the other hand keeps you up for days, suppresses hunger, and easily creates a powerful chemical dependency (addiction). Cocaine is similar to Meth in it's characteristics but cocaine is also a local anesthetic and not as powerful as meth as an upper, unless you rock it up into crack.

Tobacco and alcohol are legal,there is not much we can do about that,id love to see them banned.But legalizing another potentially dangerous drug wont make the situation any better.

as humans we were are sopose to smoke canabis as we are the only living things tht have a canaboid nuron in our brain no animal has this and isent it funny how its only from the cannabis plant i beleve it should be legle as u can not ban a plant as it is like banning bannana trees because they grow something tht can be eaten nd has nutriants in it .

i think the only reason weed is still ileaguk, is because when it was banned in the 1st place many religeons wanted to be pure and now science is geting better and more people are atheist they are started to do drugs and rilegeos people are now looking down on them if no is is religeous then weed may be approved:D

Thats a good point man, however, in the sad reality of things, there will always be religious people because no one can prove something non-existent. There will always be that confused, week willed and open minded teenager that seeks guidance in the bible. I think the way to legalize cannabis would not be to hope on the rise of atheism, but to get the religious people on our side. The bible clearly states in Genesis that God has planted every seed, to grow as plants, to be used as food.

It also states that you must abide by the laws of the land, but not if it goes against your beliefs. So technically, when we now look at the essential nutrients of fatty acids in the seed, and the benefits of both the industrial and the natural plant, we can clearly see that Christians should be fighting for the freedom of Cannabis.

All of this "Medical Marijuana" garbage is ridiculous. People have had pains for millenia. Did they need highs to get over emotional/pain? Meditation and reasoning are much more effective substitutes. Also, using drugs does not fix the problem- Just like with pain-killers. If you want to solve the problem with emotional pain, then find the source of the pain and resolve it, don't resort to dangerous drugs. "Solutions are always better than hold-over measures."

Marijuana isn't dangerous. The overdose doesn't kill, and the combined chemicals of the drug actually suppress lung cancer...And yes, people did need highs to get over emotions and pain. Some queens used it to alleviate menstrual cramps. I use it to get over stress. Also, THC has been shown to actually stimulate brain cell growth.

Wait until one of your family members or someone you care about gets cancer, MS, AIDS, glaucoma, or the hundreds of other illnesses marijuana helps. Then lets see if you tell them to "meditate" or "reason"...the pain away. Who said using marijuana would "fix" the problem? No one ever said weed cures anything. Marijuana is a proven pain reliever, muscle relaxer, alleviant for things like stuttering, seizures, nausea and countless others not a cure all, as you so vaguely labeled it.

Other than the fact your smoking it and doing some damage to your lungs, weed its self is non-toxic. It is also America's #1 Cash Crop. I dont understand why the goverment doesnt legalize it and make profit off of it. If it was legal it sure as hell would help us with the economy crisis America is in.

You seem like a good intelligent person, so I'll let you in on a little secret. the entire reason pot is banned in America today is because of cotton farmers. the grandsons and grand daughters of those slave owning sons of bitches. The cotton farms of the 1930s saw hemp as a competitor to their business and cried to the government to ban it. However, hemp is a stronger fabric, and grows better due to the fact that it is a weed.

Yep, and hemp is used for more than just fabric. Dupont had it's lobbying hands on congress during the time it was criminalized too for its pharmacological effects. The govt would rather you be hooked on vicodan or whatnot than to take something that works, because dupont has more money to give them.
