Wtf? Panels!? What about using a fuel other than gasoline? Geez. Wasn't the a professor at Michigan state that had a Ford pickup run on water? I remember the arcticle said that the engine produced over 300 hp. I mean, that was years ago. Where is this technology? How about just play electricity? I wonder how the test did in a wet muddy enviroment. Afghanistan isn't all desert. There is lots of snow and mud which could clump the dust preventing it from working properly. One thing they could do is to make several smaller gas tanks with interlocking shutoff valves. A Humvee carries 25 gallons of fuel so there could be 5 gas tanks holding 4 gallons each and one holding 5 gallons. Also see US Patent 4925057 which uses a self sealing chambered gas tank to prevent leaks and explosions.
