  • hey man, thanks a lot for teaching how to do this. i normally learn by ear, but didn't realize you needed a capo. You're a great teacher.

  • So Iron and Wine transposes the song up a half step?

  • A half step? No, the cape is on the 6th fret so it's 3 steps up. Half an octave though.

  • awesome this video helps me alot. Thanks :D

  • thanks, you make it so much easier

  • thankyou thankyou thankyou!!!!!!!

  • i always look for guides to doing songs i like and then ones i find suck then i always somehow end up on u every time and then i learn the song and i really wanna thank you for that

  • Excellent job! Very simple to follow. Something that could improve the video - try to have the guitar facing the camera more directly and add in a little bit of additional lighting. But it's still a very good job and very helpful.

  • this video helped me A LOT. thank you so effin mutch, dude.

  • I meant "much". gee that was an ugly typo :P

  • you are amazing!

    thank you for this!

  • thanks! it makes more sense now.

guess i need a capo though...

  • Thanks for the lesson!

Um, typicalusername, I'm not trying to sound smart or anything, but this song is originally by the Postal Service. Iron and Wine and The Shins did covers of Postal Service songs for the Such Great Heights-EP.

  • Thanks for the vid Bro! Cleared some things up for me. Such a beautiful song that so many people think was written by the postal service because of MTV. Props! Keep Rockin!

  • Oh scottious, your guitar skills get me all hot and bothered.

  • ooo la la ;)
