  • That setup is really amazing, Hopefully one day i will have the money to have a similar setup. Till then its bills bills bills :( .... One thing i did notice tho, the wireless mouse seems to have some SLIGHT lag behind when he uses it. Not really a big deal tho.

  • wow! you have like so need to learn the difference between memory and hard drive storage. RAM is used for running applications. HDD's are used to store data.

  • so you are saying that you connect multi media center PCs together on your network with a server system that contains all your movies, musics, photos, etc and can stream all those contents from anyone of the media center pc at the same time simultaneouly and independently, did u use windows home server and install the clients on each pc and also can you stream live Tv through each Pc simultaneouly and how, pc did you put the TV tuner cards

  • mY bro made a hometheater pc that gathers all data from the network its a large tower computer with hdmi so shitty dvd=1080p no need for hd dics its got 10 400gb hdd bult in to it and also a tv tuner for1080p tv its sock

  • So what did you pay for all this? -That is including software.. Just currious, I'm on the verge of building my own MCE.

    My initial thought is that I will go for the LinuxMCE which has (to my mind) the superior look and feel relative to WinMCE. I use thin clients connected to a main MCE server which in my experience is easily done in linux. - nice demonstration by the way!

  • with just pc's and OS'S bout 1-4 grand because of the network hubs and network drives.... just the problem is.. HE WONT REPLY.... he hasnt logged in for a year

  • You can rip the dvd with many programs like VLC media player

  • Great setup, Im in the process of something similar myself. Am deciding how to set up the sound in the lounge, am looking for a cheaper way of doing it than an AV amp and expensive speakers, any tips?

  • thanks man nice vid. it inspired me to get media centre when i got vista ultimate. I got it linked to my xbox360 via wired connection not wireless. But i cant get divx and the like to stream any ideas i got haali media splitter and ff show and codec pack. I had it working before but i tried to go wireless and it buggerd up.

  • P4 3.2GHz, Intel mobo with on-board sound+optical out. NVidia fanless video card (6700? I think). 1G memory. 300G SATA HD. Old technology by now!

  • hi i just installed windows media center 2005 edtion but in the system properties its saying its the 2002 version can anyone tell me how to change it so it will say 2005 edtion its seems strange why is it saying 2002 because microsoft didn't even make a 2002 version of Media center there is just a 2004 and 2005 version
