The seed you plant in the ground hatches into a chicken? (I really kind of love you.)
I'm glad to see that you link the story to the character so tightly. I have a few characters who I'll transplant, but for the most part the character is so closely linked to the story, that yes, they are sort of one and the same.
This whole subject was a fascinating one, mostly because it actually made me think about things I normally just allow to happen. Now I just have to wonder if this knowledge will help me in the future...
Muffins and cupcakes, hmm? I guess... muffins are sort of like sweet bread, whereas cupcakes are like small cakes. I see muffins as a breakfast thing, or a substitute meal sometimes, whereas cupcakes are a treat or a dessert. Does that help?
Thanks! It just occurred to me when I was thinking about the idea of characters and I went with it. I love anything that involves props. Especially delicious props.
I'd really be interested to see what a page in one of your character books looks like. Do you think you might be able to scan one so we can see?

Well yes - that's the way it goes, isn't it? :D

So if I have a muffin as a treat or for dessert, does that make it a cupcake?
This is confusing. I guess someone just has to bake me some of each until I figure it out by myself. ;)
Also, I would never have a muffin for breakfast. I am not up for sweet in the morning.
But thanks for the explanations.

Also cupcakes have icing and muffins do not.

Looks like I need to learn how to reply properly.
So the chocolate-nut muffin that I buy to honour Sarah is actually a cupcake, cause it has chocolate icing and nuts on top?
They sell everything as muffins here. Regardless of the icing. Still, I should eat the real deal.
And while we are on the topic of icing, what is the difference between icing and frosting when talking about cakes?
roadrunner1896 2 years ago
Well, okay. Something like a glaze could still be a muffin. But frosting, like what you put on a cake, makes it a cupcake.
Here "icing" and "frosting" are used interchangeably.

I call it a glaze than. *loves her chocolate-nut muffins*
Okay, thank you.

For a second there I was confused by the thumbnail and then I remembered you cut your hair.
Can you explain the difference between a muffin and a cupcake to me? I know someone tried already, but I forgot.
Maybe I should order a replacement for my brain. It doesn't seem to do the job very well anymore.

Hah, yes. I'm still not quite used to it myself.
Muffins and cupcakes, hmm? I guess... muffins are sort of like sweet bread, whereas cupcakes are like small cakes. I see muffins as a breakfast thing, or a substitute meal sometimes, whereas cupcakes are a treat or a dessert. Does that help?

To be honest it's only when I'm working on long projects when I do all the notebook thing.
For shorter stories I'm a plant the character in the ground grow a chicken type of gal.
I love your analogy!
