  • FINE 0.14P CREDIT CARD WIFE NATASHA KAPLINSKY HUSBAND DARREN HOWE 1 GARDEN COURT CHAMBERS

  • I still see log ruts and trees skinned up ..... I guess some people like looking at a horses ass all day....

  • FUCKING SLAVERY

  • their doing this in BC Canada in certain areas. selective logging. it actualy improves the health of the forest.

the weight of the equipment was kind of funny, what machine in the bush only weighs 5 tons? 25 tons and up is closer thus all the axells on the lowbeds to move them.

the statement about not having to smell diesel smoke was the best, I hated it when i worked in the bush still do.

  • К сожалению в России в настоящее время нет производства такой упряжи для лошадей.

  • Guy at 1:51 looks like Burl Ives.

  • I like this, they feel good about what they are doing with their lives and don't mind getting modest income doing hard work. This practice is sustainable because they are limited to the amount of harvest by the work they can do with man/animal power and the horses produce fertilizers as a by product, not pollution.

  • I love to see folks using horses whenever possible. Thanks for showing this.

  • Did they say a piece of heavy equipment can weigh up to ten thousand lbs. That is a very small piece of heavy equipment. Some of the Cats used in the woods around where I grew up weigh a lot more than that.

  • i do this every day.... but god il like to have a skidder... go to my account to see :))

  • nice horses!

  • most logging done today is on private property kind like a farmer growing corn. 50 thousand acres you are using big equipment or a family with woodlot and maybe ahorse or a small tractor

  • I know a guy who does this.

  • If you think this style of logging is destroying the planet you are an idiot. This is a really good example of a sustainable, low impact harvesting method. Wood is good!

  • Not arguing with you, but what dont we do these days that destroys the planet i guess this is a old fashioned way of doing it instead of cutting down the whole entire forest

  • diga a esses animais pra comprarem trator!

  • wow the world is falling a part

  • How much wood was used to make your house?

Pathetic piece of crap, not caring about the world, and supporting the tree killers.

    Shame on you.

  • go live in a cave fucking idiot

  • `K.

  • Part of the problem with most logging is that the process they use causes valuable, nutrient rich top soil to be washed away by rain.

This process is much more preferable. They leave the roots intact and probably don't clear foliage or trees that they don't use or sell.

  • The fact he is using horses and not a Cat 518, and selectively logging rather than clear cutting seem to show he actually does care about the world. Its easy to talk shit about something you know nothing about on the internet. Consider, how environmentally friendly is sitting on your ass sucking resources and watching you-tube. The resources used to power this site, your computer, make all the hardware etc... so who dosent care really?

  • Funny how mankind infringes on every other living thing.

I think the fat ass man should move the trees he decided to cut down, lol.

I mean what the hell, just leave the trees alone too!

If I were the horse I would kick him in the forehead.

  • O -|- /\

    THIS IS SPARTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA !

he is cute wants to take over SPARTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA !

  • The trees go to make the paper and the horse's go to make the glue for the kids in kindergarten to make crappy art that even their parents will silently acknowledge is borderline retarded.

  • now that is awesome! my grandpa, each we would go out and cut trees down, but we would never use a horse. he had a rench one the back of the truck. the trees were only for the wood burning stove, but it was still fun, but using horses or ox is a great way for going green lol!

  • I wonder how many cats it would take to pull that log.

  • y lol

  • Logging with horses is far better than clear-cutting. The forest is maintained and the cut trees can have their places filled by new growth far easier.

But the harvest takes a little longer, and costs a little more, and is more work.

But the environment saved is worth it.

  • That's very true. We need people who care more about the environment and less about having a more than needed amount of money in charge of lumber. The big time clear cutters are just lazy and want more money. It's getting really old rather quickly.

  • Nothing better then chopping down trees and using animals as slave labor. Oh the good old days. these days people would call deforestation a problem but good old lester knows better.

  • we need more peoplel like this!

  • My grandpa drove a logging team for a living. Loved horses. Got the job when a he saw a driver strike a horse. The horse balked at a steep grade. Grandpa stepped in and told him he'd hit him if he hit that horse again. The boss told grandpa if he could get em down, he could have a job. Needless to say, he did it. He pulled a homebuilt log sled with his horse, and fed his family year round from his garden. Happiest man I ever met.

  • aw that's a sweet story

  • that is such a sweet story

  • i like those cool horses

  • thats true there is nothing enviormentally friendly about logging but in the country (some) thats what they use to heat there house and at least he is trying to make a good thing out of a bad ting ....you know what i mean?.........great video !!!

  • there is nothing environmentally friendly in logging [deforestation]

  • but there is sustainable logging. In japan, there are a lot of forests where the trees are all spaced evenly because they've been replanted.

  • Glad someone noticed that fact chopping down trees isn't a good thing.

  • So you have no wood produts in your home? You use no paper of any kind?

Wood HAS to come from somewhere, and in some countries its highly managed and very sustainable.

I spend a lot of time in Finland, where logging is big business. For each tree that is felled, another of the exact variety is replanted. They've been doing this for centuries, and the majority of the country is STILL covered in forests. It is possible to have a happy medium.

  • well thats good because its a law , in some country they dont care

  • Illegal and unregulated logging is a HUGE problem, especially in poorer countries.

I dont think its that they dont care as such, just that they are ignorant to the damage they are doing, or that the financial gain outweighs the environmental impact.

The countries that dont "care" tend to be very poor, and will do anything to scrape an existence. We shouldnt blame them for being exploited by western consumers.

  • sad story about him having to retire, but interesting video

  • This should become normal again. We pay far too little for natural resources that no one will ever see again. But the market may not have time to correct itself before it's all gone anyway. Whatever survives of humanity, will never forgive we who live now.

  • I hope you aren't serious...

  • very well done and a great message..

  • I wish!!!

  • ...BIG HORSES!!!

  • ahh well that's good for them!

  • 46th rating!

  • An environmentally friendly way to cut down trees, that's a hoot! Well maybe not a hoot with all those homeless owls corpses being trampled by horses.

  • .....LOL

  • im subbed to your channel youre pretty funny love the astronipples @ BinkieMcFartnuggets

  • awe what a nice kind old man

  • its sad to see these old tyme traditions fade away. I hope they can still exist into the 21st century despite technology.

  • "And you don't haft to smell that diesel smoke."

    Truer words, never spoken.

  • as long as wood is still cut its best to be done so. you ever heard of a logger whos actually aware of the forest? trust me im a big fucking evil hippie and i hate logging operations theyre insane they destroy wherever they go ive never aproved of any i saw ,short of clearing hazards. so i say again as long as were cutting down trees this is by far the best way ive seen practically harvesting one and hes right after hes gone the woods will deal with one missing tree

  • You don't really see the point do you?

  • because an electric saw of selective cutting is equivalent to clearing a whole fucking forest....

  • loser

  • Jealous whore
