  • Nice.....dose it have an intercooler???

  • So you basically have a 5.7 now?

  • My dad got a 2007 Tundra 4.7 today and he already wants to supercharge it lol

  • Could someone please educate me on what happened with the 2004-6 Tundra accessories. One minute, there were superchargers, headers, and dual exhausts available, next thing, nothing. Does anyone, anywhere make performance pieces for these years?

  • @AintLifeGarand URD racing search urd on google and ttc performance if u wanna get really serious

  • @PinelochTundra Thanky, Dude.

  • trd doesnt make the supercharger for the 4.7 L anymore, it sucks cuz i wanted to buy one, now i have to find it used.

  • hahaha no offense but i cracked up when i heard the supercharger squeaking... great truck though. My dad has a 2000, and it's a really nice truck... obviously his is a little more stock than yours! haha

  • badass. i want a supercharged tundra.

  • i have a 2003 tundra trd supercharged and now i have pulled that engine and have put a 5.7 in it haven finished wireing it up but im so excited to drive it. i want to see how it compaired to my old supercharged engine

  • ...dog, just noticed, and am wondering WHY someone would thumbs-down your comments, but....there they are. I don't get it.

    Was/ is the 4.7-to-5.7 thing basically a bolt-in? 8)

  • Dude a brand new stock tundra 5.7l is 385bhp

  • no 381bhp

  • @Fleadabomb99 381hp at the crank so around 340-350hp at the wheels

  • @Fleadabomb99 I just heard the new Tundra engine is Chevy. True? Also annoyed that the CrewMax is strictly 4x4, now. I believe the 2wd holds a performance edge on 4x4.

  • @AintLifeGarand hey, i dont believe that toyota would let chevy budge in and build their engine, im not saying its not possible, and i believe the 4x4 would have the edge in performance since it has more traction and more power on the pavement at one time. handling might be a different story but 0 - 60 is out of the question 4x4 hands down

  • @Fleadabomb99 Must have been a rumor. The traction thing makes sense. I know a supercharger on the 2004 TDC was a spin-puppy.

  • @AintLifeGarand The truck is a piece of fucking shit

  • @327MONEY20 Coming from someone who has 327 or anything else Heartache Of America as his e-mail address, I can easily disregard your babble as simply Port-O-Let odor...that "p.o.s" could without an 1/8th of a doubt put your p.o.s. into the weeds. Merry Christmas, little boy! :)

  • @327MONEY20 P.S. I wouldn't use a 327 to wipe my ***.

  • @327MONEY20 Such a gratuitous comment.

  • @AintLifeGarand No way Toyota is working with Chevy on their trucks. The tundra's is completely different... It has VVT-I, different spark shooting layout, and all aluminum block, and Japanese electronics.... And the Crewmax is definitely not strictly 4x4, maybe in your area it can be but no, you can custom build one on the Toyota Website, or Even search around different dealers in the country.

  • @GeoThundra My concern was that a Crewmax (essentially, my 2004 Double Cab, modern day) wasn't available in a 4x2. According to Toyota.com, apparently this is the case. If you want a 2WD, you have to buy a Regular Cab. The Chevy-built engine thing I'm still researching. Happy New Year!

  • @AintLifeGarand Hahaha thanks! it depends where in US you search for... try socal... like hollywood zip 91601

  • This is all the Tundra is good for! Its like Toyotas version of the el camino

  • @USZ71 ...and I love it every time I run away from another truck at a stoplight. :)))))

  • Nice 385hp Not bad at all

  • sweet!

what are you pushing 1/4 mile??

  • Will this charger fit my 2007 Tundra 4.7L since it's the same engine?

  • sadly the best and most cheapest way to supercharge a 4.7L is to get a 5.7L

i regret not getting it either :/

  • is it hard to do that swap if you can find a motor??

  • I wouldn't be the best one to answer that question, but im sure if u do find one with the trans. it would cost a pretty penny. I heard 5.7Leng. + 6spd.trans. can go for about $15,000

Thats why many find it easier and cheaper to just get one with the 5.7 in the first place. Dealer upgrade would be somewhere like $1300 from the 4.7L

  • @INeverLose no the newer 4.7's including 05+ have VVTI which makes them a pain in the ass to install with our computers.. You need a fuel standalone management system to make it work.... It's a bigger pain then having the 5.7l S/C and having factory warranty :)

  • They sell them on line. Just google TRD Superchargers, they add 118 hp to a stock engine. Add some hedders, an open exaust, and a cold air intake and your set. That high pitch noise you heard was piercing my ears. When you pass people it scares the crap out of people :)

  • @suprafast27 They dont sell them for the 4.7s anymore, at least not from Toyota. They say it decreased the life of the engine to much or something like that. The 5.7s were designed w/ the supercharger in mind. Sounds bad ass though!

  • @Motorfordtoyota your right... The rods were not made to handle the higher rpms... Put in some 4.0L Lexus rods and internals (lextreme . com) and it'll go forever...

  • ey, where can i get those? i have the 4.7 as well but on a 07

  • awesome tundra, you should get some 0-60 videos or a race.
