There is something seriously wrong: there are NO proper X videos on Youtube -- they've all been removed due to copyright infringement or whatever. They made some great clips in the 80s for songs like "Motel Room in My Bed" and "Because I Do." It's a crime you can't watch them on Youtube!

John Doe did an acoustic version of this by himself (not the one with Dave Alvin) that was on the IRS show on MTV in the late 80s. That is to this day the most beautiful acoustic rendition of a song I've heard.

I too have been a fan and this song was actually only premiered on a solo project withJohn Doe.

I last saw John at a small club on Fairfax and he was aged but great. Real dude playing real music. Not enough of that these days it seems to me or I am just getting old.

Okay. I like punk. I like this band and I love this song. But someone always has to be on top and one can say Michael Jackson or Madonna appealed then because of their ability to reach more people with their music. Some people aren't ready to hear the message in this song. You reject pop stars, they reject an important messge.
