  • i dont understand. toki didn't got ill after the atomic explosions... or he was already ill before the events of the nuclear apocalypse?

  • Comment removed

  • @urutuismo Either the OVA's bad subs, or this OVA itself just forgot the canon material.

  • Any idea if these are getting a DVD release anytime soon? I can't seem to find them anywhere, and does anyone know if they're doing any more? I heard that they were.

  • "There are 'three' prodigies awaiting this crowning."

Poor Jagi. Always excluded from the epithet of the Hokuto Brothers. Then again, he was kind of a dick...

  • @Bonovasitch A dick, yes. But it's because of the inferiority complex he got when Raoh, Toki, and finally, Ken, who was even younger than him, were preferred for Hokuto Shinken instead of him.

He just wanted to be loved. Then he took things too far.

  • Anyone know where you can score the intro music from this episode?

  • were can i find these films in order

  • The new voice cast is ruining this for me, what a awful bunch of rookies they used to voice the remakes. lol

  • 4 existing LOL? Wat?

  • the 1 person who press the death omen star. the one person dies in 3 more days.

  • only 3 Hokuto's brother? what about Jagi?

  • @ZDLR221

    He's already dead.

  • @SwatShinsengumi

    hahah, Poor mother F*****..

  • @ZDLR221 Jagi isn't even hokuto though.

  • @DjangoEX Yes he is. Jagi was trained in Hokuto Shin Ken. Kenshiro and Toki disowned him after his actions, and thus he is no longer considered one of the 'Hokuto brothers', but he was still able to use Hokuto Shin Ken. Hokuto Shin Ken is what gives Jagi his great strength, and he does use it to make people's heads explode (in the movie he blew up Jackal's head, in the anime it was just some random 'roided out mohawk guy). He's just not a master like Ken, Toki or Raoh.

  • @dark7element Yea I realized my mistake I mixed him up with Jugai.

  • I don't get it. I understand why Raoh couldn't be the successor, but Toki is almost the same compassionate as Ken but stronger, but I guess because of his illness he wouldn't have enough time to carry the destiny.

  • ラオウの声が。。。ダメだ

  • THIS IS THE FIRST CHAPTER???

  • At 5:36, I heard Rodan! XD

It's interesting we get to learn more about Toki, but it is sad that most of the times they omit Jagi from the stories.

  • So that's why Kenshiro was chosen over Toki. It's nice that there was excuse for Kenshiro to be chosen over Toki because honestly I think they both deserved to be successors regardless of the one successor only rule.

  • 1 dude misclicked / really disliked this video... Sorry, but he is already dead...

  • It's ironic that the moves done by Toki in the opening look like the moves of Shaolin-quan Kung Fu.

  • @Ryutobi Shaolin Kung Fu was created by people who were not able to be succesors of Hokuto Shin Ken...

  • Are they blood related?

  • The opening credits are advertising the iToki

  • those butterflies at the beginning were so beautiful at night, they gave beauty to the scenery.

  • yeh jagi is pretty much useless, he tried to beat kenshiro with a gun... i mean thats pretty stupid he then got his ass handed to him... he doesnt even deserve to be concidered a candidate for the title

  • @neebfollower He wasent that bad, a slacker no doubt, but he was out there when the nukes fell and not only he didn`t died, he had fun :p

  • now this is a show about real men fighting real mem no sissy crap

  • The beginning makes it seem like they'd make a pretty good boy band. Nevermind, that's an oxymoron, cause there's no such thing as a "good boy bad."

  • only the last week this dvd has become available in holland . . its a shame we get things so late . . finaly my collection is complete . . allready watched it about a year ago on youtube . . ever since the fist of the northstar in 85 i loved the consept of a warrior who's hart is biger then his fist!!

  • The martial arts sequence in the opening credits is awesome!

  • @kawashima33 coz of desease

  • I cant accept Raoh and Yuria's voice.

  • lol stoners love this show

  • This was my favorite OVA.

If Toki wasn't sick he would've been stronger than Raoh and had more compassion and sadness than Kenshiro which would allow him to master Musou Tensei sooner than any of them. He figured out Souther's secret without even touching him and could've probably defeated him easily. In terms of potential, Toki was definitely strongest of the Hokuto brothers.

  • @smzig At the time of the trial, Raoh is strongest. Toki is most talent, but not the strongest. The entire thing about Musou Tensei is a bit unclear. Sometime it is said that sadness is the key. Sometime, it is said that love and sadness together is the key. If the latter is true, then Toki cannot master because he does not fully understand love like Kenshiro. It is mentioned in Hokuto no Ken 2 and Ten no Haoh that Toki lacks the potential for Musou Tensei.

  • @Chemicalkinetics Musou Tensei is achieved when Zen "emptiness" is reached - Kenshiro reaches this by having his loved ones die repeatedly

  • @themasteriswatching Of course, that is also the problem. According to real Zen, emptiness is not achieved by saddness, anger, love or any emotion. In Zen, emptiness is achieved by detachment from emotions, which is exactly why Zen Buddhist monks do not marry. Musou in Hokuto no Ken should not be confused with the Emptiness in Zen or Buddhism. Not related. Musou Tensei in Hokuto no ken universe is arhieved by saddness and sometime said by love.

  • @smzig Although Toki was not as strong as Raoh, Toki probably would have been selected as the heir to Hokuto shin ken if he was not sick. Their master Ryuken wasn't selecting heir based on strength. If that was the case, Raoh would have been selected over Kenshiro.

  • Subtitle utter failage.

Especially the last 2 lines were almost exactly the opposite of what was written. It's more like "I've put you through a lot, Sara. Leave the rest to me."

  • I heard Rodan...

  • lol, I "like" how its actually 2000 years, not 1800 years :3

  • toki had a really sad fate :(

  • how do u reech into compuder screens n pull out da ppl n da vidyo cuz i seen dem do it on a comershul but i keep tryen but nothin hapens i want 2 pull out kinshoro n ax him 2 trane me n also pull out yuria 2 fuk her but i cant figger it out how to talk 2 ppl n da bidyos

  • the soundtrack at 3:20 what is its name???▐▐▐

  • well, at least an imitation of it.

  • Toki is doing the Chen style of Tai Chi.

  • @stardingo747 I don't know about Chen style vs Yang style, but it is definitely Tai Chi. Hey, afterall, Toki is supposed to use a soft style, right? Hokuto no ken borrows a lot of Chinese themes.

  • Toki is the successor but he got ill which is why he was disqualified

thats why they put Ken and Raoh on the list and chose Ken

  • 5:30

nice nod to Bruce Lee; you see hand movement like that in "Fists of Fury" towards the end.

  • Is it possible to master "iron shirt" to the point where one can even survive a nuclear blast like Toki?

doubtful; be a scary world if someone like that existed in China though.

  • @stardingo747 Toki didn't survive the blast because of iron shirt. He was in a shelter; he just got hit by the after-effect of radiation, which lasts for some time after a nuclear blast and does not have immediate or obvious effects, but can be lethal in the long term.

  • Kenshiro eventually becomes as powerful as Toki; in another Densetsu OVA, the writers of this fiction confirm it, that Kenshiro eventually reaches Toki's level. It explains, Kenshiro becomes as powerful as Toki would have been, had Toki not been sick from radiation. The reason Toki survived a nuclear blast, is because his Chi is so strong, it even let him withstand nuclear fire. Of course even then he's just a man so he still gets sick. Don't if that's possible in real life.

  • erm he wasnt in the nuclear blast he was sheltered from it, he just took on the extreme radiation, hence why he was a terminal case. Kenshiro is the most powerful fighter of the whole canon.

  • He eventually became the most powerful you mean; I saw on another "densetsu" updated animation Fist of the North Star story and the narrator talked about how Kenshiro reached the healthy Toki's level.

Toki never became the most powerful because of his radiation sickness.

Also, I think the next video following this one shows Toki just taking the bulk of a nuclear blast.

  • never mind, you're right; he only took the fallout!

I checked just now; I was too lazy to do it before!

  • its possible, but studies show people are "subhuman" 50% of the genes are null and are supressive, if those viruses are gone youd see people like kenshiro born as 1 in 10 births & yes with proper chi energy ect training you can be even more powerfull than superman, but youd have to obey more divine laws than god!▐▐▐

  • my left shoulder hurts.

  • if we were realy human we would not have these problems!, & mine hurts too!, its sleeping in my current bed on the living room▐▐▐

  • Kenshiro does eventually surpass Toki, I think it happens during the events of "New Fist of the North Star."

The 40 year old Kenshiro, is in fact more powerful than the late 20's one.

  • To me, Toki will always be the quintescential martial arts master. Someone who is powerful, highly skilled, yet gentle.

  • wow nobody like jagi

  • @superdra132 Come now, everyone knows Jagi was a complete joke. Probably a lazy bastard who tried to find shortcuts to strength, using underhanded means. Because of this, he got his ass handed to him by Kenshiro... TWICE! He so much of a joke, they don't even mention him when they were discussing the competition for succession. They knew he didn't stand a chance.

  • @smzig still do he a sad villian always try to get better and better but at the end his anger took him to an evil life

  • @smzig HA TRUE! whenever they mention about Hokuto Shinken, they always implying "3 brothers" not 4! XD

  • @devilhacker86 That`s because even Raoh knew sorrow. Jagi only knew evil.

Though, if you accept the Jagi Gaiden, one could say he knew sorrow too, to an extent.

  • if you add fire to toki's attacks in the intro

    where hes just moveing around

this could be in avatar the last air bender

    xD

  • That could be because this show and avatar derive some of their characters' movements from the practiced movements of some of the same real life martial arts.

  • @Vikashar yep lol

wish i knew hokuto no shinken

i would ap my enemys and theyd die next week no one would know what killed him

  • a martial artist whose power, is as great as his gentleness.

  • Comment removed

  • WOW..thaks for keeping this,they distroyed SMOKDATWEED's account

  • They made a continuity error. Ryuken did have a brother. Who was the successor before him.

  • Don't you mean, have a father who was the successor before him? In the history of the anime, Ryuken had no brothers. This was mentioned between when ken encountered jagi and rescued toki from the cell.

Although, if Ryuken did have brothers, then no doubt he'd loose, considering Raoh wiped the floor with him.

  • No. He had a brother. Tetsuo Hara's new prequel manga Souten no Ken details that he had an elder brother, named Kenshiro. Who was the previous successor. The manga had long been out when this was made.

  • Kenshiro is the reincarnation of the dude who lived in the 1930's in China. Frankly though I think fist of the south sky is stupid; its not as compelling as "Fist of the North Star" the manga. The original cartoon just butchered the comic.

  • @stardingo747 Try not to think of Soten no Ken as a action anime like Hokuto no Ken was. It is the prequel but it's not the same genre. Soten no Ken would be more considered a crime drama with some action in between.

  • Ryuuken had two brothers that were mentioned.

Kenshiro the previous master of Hokuto Shinken who he named his son after (Souten no Ken).

His other brother, Kouryu, ceded the right to become master and was later killed by Raoh during his quest to overcome his fear of Kenshiro. (Only brother mentioned in the original manga)

  • Ryuken did not lose, he had a heart attack.

  • Ryuuken predecessor was the 63 succesor Kasumi kenshiro. they are half brothers, so ryuuken is Kenshiros' uncle.

  • I thought it was Kasumi Kenshiro

  • yoo will good shit haha

i only saw a bit a your hosue and it seems cool

    gj

    AND UPLAOD MORE EPS =]
