@KronikYoshi with all do respect, you have no idea what watson is,, it's not about jeopardy, it's about an amazing leap in AI, creating a computer that analyzes natural language with a huge database, this could help diagnosing patients and it would be amazing at it, you sir have no idea how amazing this is.
An actual STARGATE/PORTAL-THING was caught on film in New Mexico. The footage can be found within the short-film entitled "SUDDEN PORTHOLE", which is parked at the PROJECT CAMELOT YouTube page (it's under the George Noory video).
I'm not selling anything…I'm just trying to spread the word about the unseen-dimensions we find ourselves embedded in.
My BLOG @ samzurick*dot*com contains peripheral data regarding the movie and is where I reply to the "debunkers". THANKS!!
@TjR3O3 ...or IBM superprograms it based on many Jeopardy! answers and gives it algorithms to determine the best answer. (<- and guess what, that's right.)
There was an entire documentary on Watson for months prior, and being a software developer myself (writing in Java no less, the same language Watson was written in) I'm curious what the fuck superprogramming is, because apparently I've been doing it wrong.
Wattson had a database of information (just like the Humans have) and was not connected to the internet. Second, the biggest advancement was Wattson's ability to decipher the complex forms of the questions and return a relevant result. Type one of the Jeopardy questions into Google and see what it says. This demonstration was to show the public how IBM is creating algorithms that will allow us to communicate with our computers with natural language. Hopefully this was helpful.
I was being sarcastic about the google comment, but i work with computers for a living so it was informative. This is very interesting, but knowing what computers are capable of doing, I see the Terminator quadrilogy heading our direction quicker every day.
lol interesting. when you commented, where you implying the terminator storyline relates to this--- "A series of four ancient Greek dramas, three tragedies and one satyr play, originally presented together." if i was the T-101 (Arnold), I sure as hell would have been a "satyr" after seeing that damn sexy female Terminatrix.
just like computers have 1 and 0 for yes and no, people reckon 2 will be "maybe" meaning computers will be better.
Watson makes mistakes (such as his inability to read, e.g. What is mosquito) but he is the smartest machine on earth. What other machine could ever do what he did?
I believe the answer panel was visible to the audience, because there are videos of the rehearsal game that show monitors facing the audience that have the answer panel showing on them. However, any displays of this answer panel were obviously kept out of the contestants' lines of sight.
@FRforLIFE1 That "giant iPod" is Watson's avatar. For this particular competition, IBM built a supercomputer (filling an entire room) named Watson, which is powerful enough to understand human language and come up with an answer. Check out some other videos on YouTube about Watson, or go to IBM's website to learn about it.
@MaddiePaige1996 Yeah, this. The answers from Watson were superimposed off-set and after the taping based on server logs from Watson. The contestants had no way of seeing his thinking process.
I think he's jealous that Ken is smarter, richer and more powerful. Who's with me?!

Yes, he cheated. He looked down at the thing that was magically floating in the air in front of the podiums that showed Watson's answers.

Contents of this weeks comment section:
30% - Wasted my time on nothing
40% - Accusations of mental retardation
60% - Heated battle in favor of a robot over an actual human being
100% - The innacuracy of my drunkenly-conjured percentages.
Cheers.
