@arvp7 A voicing is the order of the notes in the chord. For example, open G and barred G both have the same musical notes, only in different orders. Hence, both are different voicings.
@verypeachy1 The G shape contains the A shape. The F shape is the E shape up one fret. The D shape is the C shape up two frets. And A E and D are the same voicing (1513), so basically all of them revolve around the same voicing, adding a note on the bass or on the treble.
Hmmm... I got it that I need to compensate on the 2nd string. But when moving down, I don't compensate back. It's like this "compensation stays" when moving from the 2nd to the 1st string.
@eburcat Yup. Decompensation occurs when moving UP a fret. You only compensate and decompensate for the 2nd string, all the rest of the fingers stay where they are
