@rubycannon I believe that their earlier work (Shadow Hearts) is more towards deathcore, as is their later work (like Say Hello to Tragedy) and that The Awakening is metalcore. It seems that it lacks the 100% throughout brutality that would be associated with deathcore artists (my main point being the singing... not that I have a problem with the singing, its almost disqualifies their eligibility for being truly deathcore). But its also more intense than some metalcore bands. Yes?

Most times, they do have the decency to wear a belt, and keep their skivvies from showing. But honestly, each demographic has a different class associated with it. If I didnt have so many friends that listened to metal, then i would never have gotten into it! Its all about who you grew up with and who you know!
