@1488slav its the cubs, they haven't won a world series since 1908, so itd be almost 110 years so those odds might make sense if they were designed at the beginning of the season.
@1488slav good point, but i think its meant to be dramatic, your right most teams usually aren't ever that high, but its more of like "hey its 100 to 1" signifying its a long shot instead of actually saying like 38 to 1 or what not.
Starting today, the Florida Marlins will now be called the Miami Marlins. Now MLB just needs to move them to the American League to set the stage for 2015 when the Cubs sweep them in the World Series.
@BMeister22 well this is an interesting point we have 15-15 for each league because of the Astros moving to the American League, i could see it shifting back to 16-14 after this upcoming season so its a possibility that Miami could move to the AL, likelihood of that happening, not that much, but Its possible that the Cubs could get Pujols even though he is looking like he will go to Miami, but i don't see him going to the AL if Miami does become an AL team...
@BMeister22 perfect, now all that is left is the invention of the anti-grav technology that allows most motor vehicles to fly, and a surge in the popularity of dehydrated foods.
Chicago fans need to realize one thing: with 30 teams in MLB, that should dictate roughly a 30-1 shot in any given year for a team to win (assuming they actually cap the damn salaries so the Yankees don't win by brute monetary force). With those odds, there are going to be teams who have suffered more than the Cubs in 100 years' time. Personally, I am convinced that the Astros will be the most cursed of the teams. Just a personal hunch...
the weird thing about this is that florida marlins is going to changed their name to miami marlins coming 2012 and there is talk about mlb switching teams...
2015 is our year! Go Cubbies!!!!

The Miami Marlins are not going to AL but the Astros maybe there will be going to the AL in 2013

so 2 teams made it to the world series, meaning they were already quite good, but one team had a 100 to 1 odds of winning it? or sweeping it ?
those odds are a bit high for a team thats already made it to the final
bad dialogue

@1488slav The 100 to 1 odds are from the beginning of the season, where any of the teams could win, thus 100 to 1 odds aren't too unheard of.
Great dialogue.

@BMeister22 if only they were moving the Marlins to the AL next year instead of Houston, then it'd be freaky.
