  • RIP Palm Tree :(

  • Excellent shots

  • That lighting was cool!

  • @clterror It seems cool now...but it was a little scary at the time. 8-)

The thunder seemed to rumble continuously that day. Mother Nature was on a roll!

  • I remember this! I lived right by Holiday Harbor where the trees caught fire. Crazy

  • wow man nice shots i live on canyon club right by the lodge. looks like that tree was struck right by the launch ramp by holiday harbor

  • I remember Tht I live on longhorn

  • @XxProxXSnipezx Howdy neighbor. I live on Appaloosa about 4 houses back from Longhorn. My house sits fairly high and my eucalyptus trees are even higher. That makes my property a prime target for lightning.

  • nice shot of lightning

  • I LIVE ON FAIRWEATHER FTW!

    lol

  • I just posted a video response, it's my video of this same storm taken from the other side of the lake toward the direction you are filming.

  • I remember that morning! I was at the WaMu bank down at Railroad Cyn and I-15. I took some videos from that spot, lightning striking within a block of me. My friend lives up in Tuscany Hills (I live at Horsethief Canyon).

  • Cool video! But this must have been unusual...I mean, summer rain in SoCal?! Isn't that pretty rare?

  • Thanks. You're right...a summer storm like this is very rare. When I heard the thunder in the distance, that's when I decided it was time to get the video camera.

  • It must have been nice because it probably allowed everything to get a little green. I bet it cleaned the air, too.

  • Very Cool Video!

  • i live in canyon lake ca on big range rd.

  • Howdy neighbor. Were you here during this storm? I live on Appaloosa Ct on the west side of Canyon Lake.

  • I live on the water so we have a good view from my house, thats ware i watched it.

  • i like the first 2 bolts, the 3rd i did not see. The palm tree on fire was cool too with the fire truck

  • good video but you should have put the entire thunderstorm in the video

  • Yeah!!

  • you have some amazing lightning shots

  • damn.. nice house

  • Very nice video. I lived in Menifee during this time, but was on vacation and out of state (would have loved to see this).

  • i dont see your house gets struck?

  • That's because I'm in the house when it gets hit. It hit my roof about 20 feet behind me. I didn't know it happened until I saw the chunks of roofing shingles laying on the ground.

  • This was a good video. Thanks for sharing it. Do you know the date that this storm occurred?

  • Thanks for the positive feedback. The date stamp on the video is August 13, 2004 @ 9:27 AM Pacific time.
