Ugh. I like this hymn, but this has got to be the blandest, ugliest arrangement of it I have ever heard. I wish I was deaf right now or too brain damaged to process the craptastic sounds my poor ear holes are being subjected to.
@woobieweibel What makes the LDS church different from the other churches is that the LDS church is the only church in the world the says "to know what church is true ask god" I have talked to preachers from many different churches and denominations and never one said to ask god to know if what they are saying is true. Do as it says in James1:5 and ask god that is the only way that you will ever know the truth. I asked him, and I can say that I know without a doubt that this is the true church.
The Book of Mormon is a volume of holy scripture comparable to the Bible and is a record of God's dealings with His chosen people in the New World. The main purpose of the Book of Mormon is "to the convincing of Jew and Gentile that JESUS is the CHRIST, the ETERNAL GOD, manifesting himself unto all nations." (Book of Mormon Title Page) It was written by ancient American prophets for our day (Mormon 8:35) and is an American testament of the Lord Jesus Christ.
@MetroidMilkMan As a non Mormon, I appreciate your comments, but there is nothing wrong with exchanging ideas. My parish has several ex-Mormons. They've told me the temple rites are largely based on Masonic rituals. Religious scholars have noted that much of the BOM reflects religious sentiments common in the early 19th century, and the writing is similar to the English of the 16th Century when the KJ Bible was written. I have an undergrad degree in archaeology, but for now I'll stop here.
OH martin and another thing! What kind of "christian" are you if you cut down others religion and beliefs? last time I checked, sir, jesus christ NEVER cut anyone down. so hopefully one day you'll find the light and like you were lecturing someone else, maybe you'll come until christ and be perfected him in.
Yes He did and so did the apostles - 2 Corinthians 11:13-14 (KJV) For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an ANGEL OF LIGHT. (Didn't an ANGEL OF LIGHT named Moroni appear to Smith?)
Matthew 24:24 (KJV) For there shall arise false Christs, and FALSE PROPHETS, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
WORD OF GOD SO GET OVER YOURSELF AND GET A LIFE!!!! next time you try and cut down the church, ummmm think before you go acting big and bad over a silly internet site. k thanks very much!!
first of all, you're comments are disturbing and you have no clue what you're talking about. what religion are you? baptist? methodist? or a combination? or do you switch around? you have no right to say negative things about LDS people or our prophets. and it is spelled PROPHET not profit so go to school. Second, whatever church you attend, you can't find that church somewhere else if you say, go on vacation. YOUR PREACHER ONLY PREACHES WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR NOT WHAT IS THE
@susiemae111 "There arrived in this land a man whom they called Quetzacoatl... His countenance was white and he wore a beard. His manner of dress consisted of a long white robe... He was considered just, saintly, and good, teaching them by deeds and words the road to virtue... He gave them laws and sane doctrine... He said that in the year that would be called Ce Acatl, He would return and then His doctrine would be accepted, and his children Lords and heirs of the earth."
Kolob is real! The magic rock in my hat told me so. Plus you don't have magic underpants, so why should I believe you? A probe to the planet Kolob by 2025! President Romney, make it so!!!
In the year 1822, I was engaged in digging a well. I employed Alvin and Joseph Smith to assist me.... After digging about twenty feet below the surface of the earth, we discovered a singularly appearing stone, which excited my curiosity. I brought it to the top of the well, and as we were examining it, Joseph put it into his hat, and then his face into the top of his hat.... The next morning he came to me, and wished to obtain the stone, alleging that he could see in it;
Joseph was very free in his talk about his women. He told me one day of a certain girl and remarked, that she had given him more pleasure than any girl he had ever enjoyed. I told him it was horrible to talk like this."
- Joseph Smith's close confidant and First Councilor, William Law, Interview in Salt Lake Tribune, July 31, 1887
Joseph and Hyrum, however, remained in Carthage to have an interview with Governor Ford. While awaiting audience with him, they were arrested on charges of treason and rioting for having used some of the Nauvoo Legion to assist the town marshal in the destruction of Expositor equipment. For this charge they were committed to the Carthage jail
The Prophet instructed the city marshal to abate the nuisance which he and his men accomplished by breaking into the printing shop, throwing the press into street where it was smashed with a sledge hammer, dumping the type into the street, and burning the undistributed copies of the newspaper.
Daughter of Heber C. Kimball. At aged 14, Helen Mar Kimball wrote, [My father] asked me if I would be sealed to Joseph … [Smith] said to me, ‘If you will take this step, it will ensure your eternal salvation & exaltation and that of your father's household & all of your kindred.[‘] This promise was so great that I willingly gave myself to purchase so glorious a reward. … [After the marriage] I felt quite sore over it … and thought myself an abused child, and that it was pardonable if I did
Mormon top ten lies by missionaries. 1.We're not trying to convert you ( we want your tithe) 2.The Bible is insufficient. ( BOM) 3.We're the only true Christians. ( oh no your not) 4.We're the only true church(Christ's is enough) 5.We have a living prophet(Christ is) 6.The BOM is scripture(Bible is) 7.Saved by works(saved by Christ) 8.People can become God's.(Only 1) 9.You're born again by being a mormon(false) 10.Temple marriage is required for eternal life.(Believe in Christ only)
@Steedlaw No need to get personal and call me a child, we are having a discussion here, when people are faced with truth, they get angry, and try to defend whatever they need to defend by being obtuse.
If Smith was a perfect man ( as Jesus was ) I could maybe listen to you, but Smith wasnt, how can a prophet have sex with two 14 yr old girls? You follow a man that did this? I rest my case.
@Steedlaw I see you didnt comment on Smith having sex with two 14 yr old girls, I can guess you will say " oohh thats what they did back in those days "
I ask you again, If Smith was a prophet, do prophets have sex with minors? If Monson was to have been found to have done this, would you follow Monson? My guess is No, so why follow Smith. If you say yes, then your following a paedophile.
Smith was a paedophile. I can understand polygamy, but not sex with minors. And not 34 wives.
@martinh103 Grow up, child. There is zero evidence that Smith's marriges to his 2 youngest wives were consumated. If you were an educated person (which you prove time again that you are not) you would know that many Mormon plural marraiges were never consumated but were done in order to seal families together. There is no evidence that JS ever had sex with a 14 year old, as every credible historian (both Mormon and non-mormon) would tell you. See peer reviewed articles published in Dialogue.
@martinh103 You however have not answered my questions at all. Why are do you follow the creeds of the known Pagan, sun-worshiping devil Constantine and his murderous, book-burning politicians? How do you feel about poisoning one's wife and family members? How do you feel about promoting slavery and the mass murder of African Slaves from evangelical and protestant church pulpits?
@Steedlaw i FOLLOW NOTHING BUT CHRISTS TEACHINGS, NOT SMITH, NOT KOLOB, NOT GOLDEN PLATES, NOT FALSE BOOK of Abraham , not sex with 14 yrs olds, not Monson the current PROFIT .
if Monson told you to suck his Knob you would, dont deny it, If monson told you that every morning you must kick the cat, you would, you would do anything this Cronie says......... which means you follow MAN, not Christ.
@martinh103 How do you feel about the witch burnings that occured over centuries? How about the fact that your very status as a so-called "Christian" is solely dependent upon your acceptance of the creeds developed by known murders, Pagans, and book-burning politicians? How do you feel about the confirmed facts there there are over 2,000 known serious errancies in the Bible between the modern English and Greek versions?
How do you feel about the fact that your relationship with Christ and your status as a Christian must go through your relationship with a well-documented murderer of his own family? HOw do you feel about the fact that numerous books of scripture were left out of the Bible and were burned due to the decisions of Pagans? How do you feel about the the holy wars and slavery justified by both Catholic and protestant churches?
@Steedlaw KOLOB DOES NOT EXIST. NEVER HAS, NEVER WILL, There is no proof of it, its just another smith saga , zzzzzzzzzzzz gosh, its like talking to a 3 yr old. Scientific fact......... Kolob does not exist. ok?
@martinh103 Better yet, Martin, what you really need to do is ask your father in heaven if the BOM is true. If you believe so much in the words of Christ and the Bible, then you really need to take the promise in James 1:5 to heart. You will find your answer.
@martinh103 You are as cowardly and misguided as you are misinformed and hateful, child. If you are going to post this, then have the guts to reply to me so I know when you are posting. If you actually had any clue what you were talking about (rather than ignorantly cutting and pasting from Wikipedia), you would know that JS translation of IS in conformity with Egyptologists.
@Steedlaw UTLM dont lie like Smith did. Its a better source than Smiths words, and he fleeced thousands of dollars from his flock in a bank scam, i guess you will deny this too ... reminds me of Creflo Dollar.
This is to certify that I have sold to Wilford C. Wood of Woods Cross Utah. A silver piece bearing the inscription. "Confirms O Deus Potentrssimus" [written around the outer edge of the piece] and came to me through the relationship of my father Major L. C. Bidaman who married the Prophet Joseph Smiths widow, Emma Smith.I certify that I have many times heard her say, when being interviewed, and showing the piece. That it was in the Prophets pocket when he was martyred at Carthage Ill.[44]
@martinh103 I have already responded to this one, oh illiterate one. Bidaman's son was in known opposition to his family and the church at the time this statement was made. The report you cite was taken many years after both Joseph and Emma's death and was allegedly based on early childhood memories. Bidaman's son also had financial motives to make such statements. You don't need two (2) law degrees in evidentiary science to tell you that your so-called "facts" are about as reliable as dung.
@martinh103 I mean, you do understand how rediculous you are right now, right? If Joseph Smith allegedly had a Jupiter Talisman at his death, why is the only account of the existence of such an artifact from the estranged step-son of Emma Smith (1) made years after the death of Emma and Joe and (2) made when under motives for financial gain? You really believe this crap is reliable? You don't believe the dude (now an adult) could have been...hmmm...lying? Yeah, I think I will stick with that
@martinh103 What "get out of jail free card are you referring to?" The fact that I present you with the actual facts and contexts to your worthless spins and prove them to be absolutely baseless. Or the fact that you choose to look at one tree in a forest of facts on the issue to reach your conclusion? Try growing a brain, child.
@Steedlaw We will agree to disagree. The fact is this, the talisman was found on Smith, you will say it wasnt, just like you will say there is evidence of Hill Cumorah, when infact Smith took the name form the Comorah islands, where Captain Kidd hid treasure.And.. where is the evidence of 230,000 people fighting there, NONE, another fable from Smith.
@martinh103 Here is another real life lesson for you, anyone can bring suit against anyone else. If I wanted, I could sue you for theft as well. Doesn't prove anything though. You posted quotes from a pre-trial hearing that never even led to a trial let alone a conviction. The suit was brought by people like you, hatefull, spiteful, angry, and miserable people who would do anything to make up lies about the prophet. Needless to say, there was no conviction. Your "facts" (i.e., spins) suck.
@martinh103 Read your bible and become educated my friend. Tithing and temples were all Jesus' teachings. Jesus himslef taught about the divine nature of man, "Know ye not that yea are gods?" I hope someday you will read the Bible from cover to cover learn to do your homework and will ask your father in heaven in the name of Christ for the truth.
I hope to that one day you will come to the knowledge of the truth. As stated, the ones who are the most callous and hateful about mormonism have often have ZERO understanding of their own religious history. How do you feel about the extrabiblical creeds developed by Constantine and his murderous book burning cronies? How do you feel about the fact that he poisoned his family, including his own wife? How do you feel about scripture burning?
Once again, you need to read the bible in total and get back with me. Lastly, here is a fact to take with you and something you might not know in your lack of education: no religion has a 100% clean history. I hate to shatter your misguided viewpoint of so-called Christian orthodoxy, but the history of mormonism is squeeky clean when compared to the atrocities of Christian othodoxy. Try learning your own religious history before pointing the fingers at others.
However, a relative of Mr. Stowell became worried that Joseph Smith was defrauding the man and filed charges against him in 1826. H. Michael Marquardt and Wesley Walters commented:
While Joseph Smith was working for Josiah Stowell, he was brought before a court on charges sworn against him by a nephew of Josiah Stowell, Peter G. Bridgman (or Bridgeman). Apparently Bridgman became concerned that his uncle's money was being spent in the pursuit of elusive treasure.
@martinh103 Ah, the1826 examination? You really might want to try looking at the surrounding facts more than just superficially. A review of all the relevant documents demonstrates (1)
the hearing was likely initiated from religious concerns; i.e. people objected to Joseph's religious claims, (2) no conviction was made, (3) the witnesses' testimonies have not all been transmitted faithfully, and (4) many witness accounts were ADMITTED unreliable. May want to try looking at the context too.
In 1833 Mr. Chase gave his account of the event:
In the year 1822, I was engaged in digging a well. I employed Alvin and Joseph Smith to assist me; the latter of whom is now known as the Mormon prophet. After digging about twenty feet below the surface of the earth, we discovered a singularly appearing stone, which excited my curiosity. I brought it to the top of the well, and as we were examining it, Joseph put it into his hat, and then his face into the top of his hat.
In 1878, Zina D. Huntington Young said of this theme, 'I am the daughter of a Master Mason; I am the widow of the Master Mason who, when leaping from the window of Carthage jail, pierced with bullets, MADE THE MASONIC SIGN OF DISTRESS, but those signs were not heeded except by the God of Heaven.' " (Mormonism and Masonry, by E. Cecil McGavin, page 17)
The Mormon writer E. Cecil McGavin admitted that Joseph Smith gave the Masonic signal of distress: "When the enemy surrounded the jail, rushed up the stairway, and killed Hyrum Smith, Joseph stood at the open window, his martyr-cry being these words, 'O Lord My God!' This was NOT the beginning of a prayer, because Joseph Smith did not pray in that manner. This brave, young man who knew that death was near, started to repeat THE DISTRESS SIGNAL OF THE MASONS,
@martinh103 What does this prove, oh hateful one? OOOOH, the masons...scary stuff right there. All masons after all are devil worshipers and cultists, right? Do you even know what a Mason is or where the term Mason came from? Look it up and enlighten yourself.
@Steedlaw So you agree that Smiths clan were masons . Good boy, now admitt that a prophet can't be a freemason.
I urge you to come back to Christ, and leave this nonsense cult behind you.
The thief on the cross next to Jesus only wanted to believe in him, thats all Crist wanted, thru him alone, not smith, not temples, not good works, not masonic tendancies, not bank scamming, and certainly no fool as Smith was. All smith folllowers are condemned.
@martinh103 I urge you to come back to Christ as well; leave this nonsense cult (i.e., Christian orthodoxy) behind you. As teh theif on the cross next to Jesus, just believe on him. Reject the false creeds and dogmas of a Pagan sun worshiper and his murderous, book-burning politicians. You don't need them. Believe in Christ and the promise of James 1:5. I have received my confirmation. Have you?
You don't need constantine, you do not need his abomidable creeds. You do not need the centuries of holy wars, crusades and witch burnings. Christian orthodoxy (i.e., apostate Christianity) has inflicted more atrocities upon the human family than all other religions combined. You don't need the teachings of evangelical and protestant churches in the South that it was god's will for men to own slaves and kill them if they looked sideways at you. By their fruits ye shall know them.
You do not need to find Christ through the creeds of Nicea and the and the abomidable church councils. You do not need his councils to find Christ. You do not need to believe that the heavens are closed and that has turned his back on you and that revelation to man is dead. You need not buy into the preaching the gospel for filthy lucre and personal gain and the blatant hypocrisies of modern evangelicalism.
@martinh103 The long night of apostacy, along with its wars, witch burnings, bigotry and slavery, is over. Believe on Christ and his word, as spoken by Him and through the mouths of his servants. For whether it is the voice of him or his servants, it is the same. You don't need the abomidable creeds to be a Christian. Christ clearly states who is Christain and who will be saved in the New Tesatment. You do not need the confusing dogmas of murding politicians and over 1,000 various denominations.
@eitoobmiz You sound very smart right now, don't you? I'm forced to conclude that a) you know nothing about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, or b) you're just joking. I pray that it's the second, and if it is, your joke fell flat. If it's the first, I would suggest going to mormon . org (without spaces) to actually see what LDS members believe.
For a different arrangement of this hymn, see the video uploaded by 1983condor. I was looking for the arrangement performed by the choir in the October 2001 general conference, and 1983condor has at least provided the audio. It's beautiful. The conference was held a couple of weeks after the 9/11 terror attacks, and I thought it was an elevating response to the national situation at that time.
Just like in the 1800s so much hate about who is right and who is wrong instead of arguing about it why not pray to god like Joseph Smith did? Stop trying to prove who is right and who is wrong if you do not like Mormons keep it to yourself plan and simple.
Actually our writing and books say the Bible and the Book of Mormon are the true words of God so long as they are translated correctly. At no time have we been told otherwise...which is why we read the bible, tell bible stories, and study the words in it. I'm not sure where you got the impression the bible can't be trusted.
@stillsavinglives no. We have different members in our church, from different countries and different races. If the church was a racist one, there wouldn't be wards and branches on different places.
Amo Mormon Choir . Há tantas DIVISÕES no Cristinismo . O próprio catolicismo é uma aberração . O Protestantismo idem . O que sobra ? Sobra a OBRA do Espírito Santo no CORAÇÃO de quem recebe a REVELAÇÃO da Graça em Cristo !
Individual ! Mas , - que esse coral , ..... - ''é fera'' , ah , lá isso é sim !
you can find the story about the head in a hat in your own mormon books. let's keep in mind that right now you think this story is made up to make the "church" look bad because this story is just ridiculous!... and let's see what kind of excuses you can come up with when you find out this is part of mormonism. here is one thing i found at lds dot org
Russell M. Nelson, “A Treasured Testament,” Ensign, Jul 1993, 61 Joseph Smith would put the seer stone into a hat, and put his face in the hat
Some people who are curious of the church inquire of the outsiders and the ex-mormons, when they should be inquiring the active and devoted members. What will you expect from non members? nothing but pure malice and false rumors. What do you expect from ex-mormons? pure discouragement and bad experiences which they themselves inflicted on themselves by not fully understanding the Gospel. Shouldn't people be asking the active members and ask why they are keeping and defending the faith until now?
@watermonkey88 "did not fully understand" you mean, they understand better than you on how to put 2+2? your "church" was openly racist til' the year of 1978. and your mormon leaders make things worse when they say it was god the racist one! how can god say "YOU CANNOT ENTER MY CHURCH FOR THE BLACK SKIN I GAVE YOU". god would never say that!!
meadows massacre, mormon racist past, jo smith KILLING 2 men, are these rumours? no!! thats why many people leave mormonism. it's clearly a deceiving cult
@MALDITTOROKKERO hold your horses down there, racist? hmmm who mentioned God is the racist one? As stated on the book of Mormon, God was angry with the perverted ways of the Lamanites. But he also said that the Lamanites, if they will repent and forget their old evil ways, then they will be redeemed and they will be blessed.
@watermonkey88 listen to you asking me for proof!!! LOL!!... you sound like you have the gold plates on your hands!! now that is funny! you say
"As stated on the book of Mormon, God was angry with the perverted ways of the Lamanites" you can not try to make a point with your book of mormon! not until you have proof of the gold plates! you see how anyone can play that game!!??? it is obvious that these plates never existed! joseph smith had wives of all ages and there is a list. look it up! ;)
@MALDITTOROKKERO ok, no proof of golden plates, hmmm why, do you have proofs of joseph smith putting his head on hat, etc..etc...faith does not need evidence.
@watermonkey88 also your own mormon book says that you cannot trust the bible! ARE YOU KIDDING ME???!! LOL. and all mormons are ok with this because they have the book of mormon!!?? that means that you mormons really dont put 100% faith in jesus. you worship joseph smith! a man who killed 2 people, is known for his scamms, having sex with married women. joseph smith broke every rule in the 10 commandments! and most mormons i chat with say "it was ok because he was a "prophet" of god... LOL
@MALDITTOROKKERO oh really? where did you get the idea that LDS members do not trust the bible? In fact we have seminary studies and we study about the old and new testament of the bible. In sunday classes, we also read and ponder the bible. If we dont trust the bible, then why teach the bible contents to our young members? get the logic? and about the polygamy, Abraham also had many wives before, but God said he will be blessed. How come then?
@MALDITTOROKKERO We don't worship that Joseph Smith. In church, we are taught to worship God and Jesus Christ. Why would we worship Joseph Smith? Who is he to be worshiped? He is a prophet, but God did not say that we should worship his prophet. So why would he worship him? LOL
@watermonkey88 "LOL" your mormon books and joseph smith writtings say very clearly that the bible cannot be trusted for X reason! how much more nonsense do you need to see so you can understand that is not me saying that!! yet, you mormons still "study" the bible! why??? you dont have to tell me! ask yourself why you mormons read the bible! ;) and about you mormons worshiping joseph smith, here is a video just for you. let me find it! also, joseph smith FAILED the test as a prophet
@MALDITTOROKKERO because the bible contains many important things about christ and his proceedings etc..etc.. The book of mormon is just another testament of Jesus Christ. It is not a replace for the bible. The bible can be trusted, but some of its accounts were ripped off from the book itself by the first translators in rome.
@watermonkey88 bingo! so you are admiting that you CANT put 100% trust in the bible! and you think you can trust the b.o.m when it's has many changes and errors in it??!!! the last change in the b.o.m (that i can remember) whas in the intro. the word changed was "principle" to "among" if this is the "most correct" book of this earth(according to smith) why the changes?? how many more changes til' its "perfect"? all you need is the bible! and NO. the b.o.m is not another book of christ!
@MALDITTOROKKERO LOL, you're making me laugh, the bible can be trusted, but as what I have said, some of its important accounts were ripped off from the book. It does not mean that even if some of its accounts were ripped off, we wouldn't be trusting it anymore. get the logic? The bible as well has gazillions of changes and errors. And it has more then one translations.
@MALDITTOROKKERO If you trust the bible so much with all your heart, why is it that it is written there that lucifer/satan is the morning star, and on the last chapter of revelation, jesus said that he was the morning star. Get the point? there are errors in the bible.
@MALDITTOROKKERO But I cannot trust the Bible alone, that's stupid. The book of Mormon is true and it contains very important things pertaining to the kingdon of God. The bible is translated so many times by different authors with different interpretations, and it is hard to trust which is which and which translation of the bible is correct. The book of Mormon is only translated by one translator which is Joseph Smith.
@watermonkey88 Not exactly. The Bible if translated correctly did not contain the Fullness of the Gospel. The Book Of Mormon does. The Book of Mormon is the most correct and most important book ever written
@MALDITTOROKKERO I also came to conclusion and having doubts of the book of Mormon's authenticity. BUT I just cannot deny the fact that the book of Mormon is true and I truly testify based on my experience with it, the blessings and personal revelations that I acquired from reading and pondering on it. And that is the strongest evidence of its truth, the testimony of people who believes in it.
@MALDITTOROKKERO And the errors that you stated were nothing compared to the errors of the bible, In the NIV bible,
Isa 14:12 How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!
Revelation 22:16 I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you[a] this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.
@watermonkey88 the evidence on the DNA video was so overwhelming to the mormons that they felt they needed to change the word "priciples" to "among" in the intro of the bom not too long ago! so when is the "most correct book" going to stop changing?? dont believe me? look it up! mormonism it's full of deceit. planet kolob, gold plates, LOL. it's like watching lord of the rings!
@MALDITTOROKKERO ok, also, I tell you..the same question...when wlll the bible versions come to a final version?? when will it stop changing and being re-translated and re published on different versions??
@MALDITTOROKKERO And also, when will the ''bible'' or the word of God stop changing? Why translate it in so many ways having many versions? If you say the book of mormon is fraudulent because changes are made on it, then if that's the case, you also mean to say that the bible is fraudulent, because it is also translated and changed many times.
@MALDITTOROKKERO Lord of the rings? If you are not ignorant, let me tell you that the world and LIFE and heavenly father and Jesus Christ and the purpose of life is 100% more magical than Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter.
@MALDITTOROKKERO for X reason?? let me give you a reason, read the bible NIV version Isaiah 14:12 and Revelation 22: 16 and find out why the bible cannot be trusted 100 percent. We study the bible because it still contains some of the account of the prophets. But no longer complete because some accounts were once again as I have said, ripped off.
@watermonkey88 look at you pointing the finger at the bible once again!! this is awesome! LOL.. please, keep telling me, and everyone how the bible is so wrong. and not a single word about the garbege book of mormon!! hahahah your actions say it very loud you weirdo!!. you believe in your book of moron and not the bible!!! once again, you show it by the way you try to point out stuff in the bible hahahahaha thank you
@MALDITTOROKKERO LOL back at you!! don't you get the point?? I mean like, can't you get the point of what I am saying, I am saying that the bible as well has lots of errors and different versions and translations. You say the book of mormon is fraud because it has errors and changes, and you said the bible is authentic, what i'm trying to say is the bible also was changed many times and translated many times, so how come it is not fraudulent and the book of mormon is fraud for you?
@watermonkey88 i got your point. it's very clear! you're pointing out all the errors in the bible! thank you! ;) planet kolob, racism, gold plates, killings(meadows massacre) joseph smith having sex with married women and kids!...LOL.. joseph smith broke every rule in the 10 comandments! mormonism has a horrible past. and you think this is a "true church" LOL this is the reason many people leave your "church" there's the FLDS to remind you of who you really are... weirdos!! ;)
@MALDITTOROKKERO With what you're saying, it seems like you didn't really get the point...too bad though. I was trying very hard to explain my point but you don't seem to understand because you don't want to think out of the box and for you, your opinion only matters and you are always right even if you are not.
@MALDITTOROKKERO Let me ask you first, are you an LDS member? or have you ever been an LDS member? If you are not then you have no right to judge the church. If you were an ex-mormon, if you thought the church was so evil, how come you became a member in the first place.
@watermonkey88 and no. i was never a mormon. i started going to their church gatherings where they ask eachother "why is the church true" LOL. to make it a short story. i found out that mormonism works by brain washing the one you love with ridiculous stories(planet kolob is one of them)! when some one is mentally weak, is when the memebers(brain washed members of course) come to you. thats how i seen it!! not much i can tell you with 500 characters ;)
@MALDITTOROKKERO ok..so i see you were never a member of the church. Then due to the circumstances, it is clear to say that you do not have ANY right to justify the church and the book of Mormon. I have been a member for over 18 years, and therefore I say that the church is true. You say it isn't, but you weren't even a member even for just 6 months. You only say the church is not true, based on what you read and hear from other people's perspectives and not based on years of experience.
@MALDITTOROKKERO thanks anyway, I looked it up. And I say, based on my research, the whole fiasco occurred because of miscommunication. If Haight have received Brigham Young's message earlier, things wouldn't have been worse.
@MALDITTOROKKERO Brain wash? No..members are not brain washed. We are all working for our salvation and for the salvation of other people. Strange stories? It's strange all right, but I already asked and pray to God if those strange stories were true, He did say yes, and therefore I shall conclude that it is true.
@MALDITTOROKKERO BTW, Jesus in America is false? Have you ever heard the tale of Quetzalcoatl, the white bearded god of the sky who was suppose to return to the Americas, and the Aztecs thought it was Cortez? Am i saying it was him, no. But there is evidence to support that belief. (Joseph Smith could not have know about that legend either) I have read the entire legend too, and there are some similarities with the belief in Christ and Satan. Not saying it was him but not "clearly false."
@catmani2 "Have you ever heard the tale of Quetzalcoatl"
listen. mormons dont have proof for their fairytales and they have to make stuff up somehow and an effort to make people believe in your "church". do you think people (EVERONE) wouldnt know about jesus visiting the americas if it really did happen? the bible says very clear that when jesus died he was done! but it's useless telling a mormon about the bible. because you only take what you want out of it and use it to your advantage. cont-
@MALDITTOROKKERO Where does it say in the Bible that Jesus died and was done? Obviously he wasn't since he spent around 40 days on earth after he died. Also, read John 10:16. Who are those other sheep? He will go to them because he says they will hear his voice. Hmm, who hasn't studied for themselves?Obviously not done. Quetzalcoatl is not a fairytale. Do you know nothing of the Aztecs, Inca's, or other indian civilizations? I just pointed out there there is evidence to support Jesus in America
@MALDITTOROKKERO And to your statement of everyone would have known, why doesn't everyone know that he came to Israel? Why was there missionary work to let the rest of the world know about him? If everyone should have know he visited the Americas the everyone and there brother should have know about his life in Israel, but they didn't. I guess it never happened according to your logic..
@catmani2 listen Mr. "we believe in the bible as long as it is translated correctly" mormonism teaches that we can become gods(i love the idea) bible says different!. mormons believe in this bogus story about planets and here is this video(good singing) your "prophet" used a hat with stones inside of it to "translate" the gold plates.(phwwahahahah) your prophet joseph smith shot and kill 2 people, man!! i can keep going on and on and all im going to hear from you is that i am cluless . thank you
@MALDITTOROKKERO Sorry you only got half my posts. Took some time to find the info i was looking for. The Bible states that we are heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. The bible also states that Christ gained all that the Father has. So if we are joint heirs should we not get all that the Father has too? Please tell me who these 2 men are that Joseph Smith killed. I am unfamiliar with that. The hat had a singulat stone in it and so what.
@MALDITTOROKKERO The stone was used in the old testament to translate and if you put it in a hat, it probably makes it easier to see and read what is on there. Would you not agree?
@catmani2 "The stone was used in the old testament to translate and if you put it in a hat, it probably makes it easier to see and read what is on there. Would you not agree?"
hahahaha that sounds like lord of the rings movie! was joseph smith controlled by satan?? magic stones, gold plates, women(polygamy), power hugry smith did alot to make people hate him didnt he? how many times was joseph smith in jail?? i cant remember ;)
@MALDITTOROKKERO You talk of allegations that has no pertinent proof. prove to me I'm wrong and I will bow down before you. Prove to me that the church where am I, is wrong and I will kiss your ass. That's a challenge.
@MALDITTOROKKERO You could say whatever you want to say about the church, but as for me, the basis of my faith is not on historians and article writers or the internet sites that publish allegations about the church. As for me, I base my faith on prayer and the direction of God. I prayed to God and asked if the church is true, he said yes, and what more evidence should I need to have to believe that the church is true.
@MALDITTOROKKERO I'm not a weirdo, I'm just a normal person defending my faith and the true church of Christ. You're the weirdo, because you spend so much of your friggin time commenting rubbish on lds videos. For what?? Jesus Christ despised hatred and saying bad allegations to your neighbors. You are the opposite of christ's example. So why should people believe you?
@MALDITTOROKKERO Anyway, did I mention that the bible is wrong? No, I never said that the bible is wrong. What I said was the bible too, has errors and changes. understand now? You call me weirdo, well at least it is better to be a weirdo than a someone like you who pretends to be UNWEIRDO but cannot comprehend things clearly.
@MALDITTOROKKERO Wow, why so angry. If it isn't true then why do you fight against it so much. That what I don't understand about people like you. Cause you certainly don't care much for well being of those you persecute. It makes me to wonder why you fight so readily against something haven't even given a fair chance.
@amy1584 the problem with them is that they perceive things based on other people's perceptions and not based on their own. The church is true. I am an active member but my father is not. He committed so many bad things like adultery, drug use and disobeyed the words of wisdom, Albeit the perversions that he's making right now, he would still encourage me to go to church and never did he deny that the church is true. He just did not endure that's why he fell on that state.
@amy1584 me pointing out how wrong mormonism is means im angry?? look up all the things i've said! if anything im having fun with this whole star/planet kolob fairy tale!! LOL.. thanks for your comment and i hope your angel "moron-i" bring back the gold plates or i hope you can find them soon i know they been "misplaces". oh and i will call batman and tell him we need to go to new york and see this hill cumorah. maybe i can find super man so we can all have some subway ;)
@MALDITTOROKKERO Your funny. Have you actually done any research into the mormon faith, or are you just spouting off what you have heard and read on anti-mormon sites? And you claim mormons are brain washed. If you want to actually understand the mormon church and get through the lies and half truths that are out there then ask a mormon, go to mormon friendly sites as well as anti sites. If it isn't true then you have nothing to worry about. If it is, then you should probably pay attantion.
@MALDITTOROKKERO You wouldn't go to a nazi to learn about the Jews would you? Yet by seeking only the defamatory that is essentially what you are doing. You mentioned mountain meadows, but you failed to mention the murders and rapes of women and children, the driving of people off their land multiple times, and other terrible things done by "christians" to mormons. By your reasoning all christianity is false because look what they did in the dark ages.
@catmani2 "You wouldn't go to a nazi to learn about the Jews would you?"
very good you say that! i've asked the mormons about hill cumorah and i get 2 different version. some say hill cumorah is in new york, others tell me it's somewhere in mexico!. are you kidding me??? if you guys dont even know, and cant agree on what you think you believe. than this story it's clearly false!! that is ONE of the reasons why it's not a good idea to ask a mormon about mormonism. makes sense?
@MALDITTOROKKERO What makes you think there is only one hill cumorah? Ammaron hid all the records that the Book of Mormon was written from in the hill cumorah. Most people believe thatthe events of the BoM were in central Mexico so therefore that is where it would be located. Moroni fled from the Lamanites for many years and buried the plates in the hill cumorah. If he was fleeing for years, would it not be logical that he didn't stay in the same place but traveled away from the Lamanites?
@MALDITTOROKKERO In the BoM it states that the Lamanites were to the south and where is the hill cumorah that the plates were found? In New York, up north. So there is no discrepency that I can see. There are two. One in central america and one in New York. Both have significance to them. I hope that cleared things up for you.
@catmani2 ezekiel 37! a bible made by the mormons for a reference says that one of the skicks(stick of joseph) is the book of mormon.!! LOL. it's clearly talking about something alse that im not going to tell you because you're obviously BRAIN WASHED..... the bible never NEVER talks about the book of mormon! you mormons love to take things out of context! and about meadows massacre. you mormons did this evil thing, end of it!
@MALDITTOROKKERO Ezekiel 37 speaks of the gathering of Israel. You can't deny that the tribes were scattered throughout the world. No one knows where either. So what makes you think some of the people could not have ended up in the Americas? If Israel were the chosen people of God, what makes you think the scattered tribes had not communication with Him? If they did, don't you think they would record it? The sticks represent to bringing of the tribes together, witrhall that possess
Kolob and H2? Okay Mormon fairy tales are better than Christian fairy tales but Mormons are still Morons.

I rest my case.
martinh103 10 months ago
I will call you a child as long as you contine to act like one. I am not angry, just pointing out that your historical spins are very childish.
Steedlaw 10 months ago
@Steedlaw I see you didnt comment on Smith having sex with two 14 yr old girls, I can guess you will say " oohh thats what they did back in those days "
I ask you again, If Smith was a prophet, do prophets have sex with minors? If Monson was to have been found to have done this, would you follow Monson? My guess is No, so why follow Smith. If you say yes, then your following a paedophile.
Smith was a paedophile. I can understand polygamy, but not sex with minors. And not 34 wives.
martinh103 10 months ago

This is to certify that I have sold to Wilford C. Wood of Woods Cross Utah. A silver piece bearing the inscription. "Confirms O Deus Potentrssimus" [written around the outer edge of the piece] and came to me through the relationship of my father Major L. C. Bidaman who married the Prophet Joseph Smiths widow, Emma Smith.I certify that I have many times heard her say, when being interviewed, and showing the piece. That it was in the Prophets pocket when he was martyred at Carthage Ill.[44]
martinh103 10 months ago
@martinh103 I have already responded to this one, oh illiterate one. Bidaman's son was in known opposition to his family and the church at the time this statement was made. The report you cite was taken many years after both Joseph and Emma's death and was allegedly based on early childhood memories. Bidaman's son also had financial motives to make such statements. You don't need two (2) law degrees in evidentiary science to tell you that your so-called "facts" are about as reliable as dung.
Steedlaw 10 months ago
@martinh103 I mean, you do understand how rediculous you are right now, right? If Joseph Smith allegedly had a Jupiter Talisman at his death, why is the only account of the existence of such an artifact from the estranged step-son of Emma Smith (1) made years after the death of Emma and Joe and (2) made when under motives for financial gain? You really believe this crap is reliable? You don't believe the dude (now an adult) could have been...hmmm...lying? Yeah, I think I will stick with that

@Steedlaw Isnt it strange. When an undiputable fact is put into your face , you try for the " get out of jail " card.
martinh103 10 months ago
@martinh103 What "get out of jail free card are you referring to?" The fact that I present you with the actual facts and contexts to your worthless spins and prove them to be absolutely baseless. Or the fact that you choose to look at one tree in a forest of facts on the issue to reach your conclusion? Try growing a brain, child.
Steedlaw 10 months ago
@Steedlaw We will agree to disagree. The fact is this, the talisman was found on Smith, you will say it wasnt, just like you will say there is evidence of Hill Cumorah, when infact Smith took the name form the Comorah islands, where Captain Kidd hid treasure.And.. where is the evidence of 230,000 people fighting there, NONE, another fable from Smith.
martinh103 10 months ago
@martinh103 Here is another real life lesson for you, anyone can bring suit against anyone else. If I wanted, I could sue you for theft as well. Doesn't prove anything though. You posted quotes from a pre-trial hearing that never even led to a trial let alone a conviction. The suit was brought by people like you, hatefull, spiteful, angry, and miserable people who would do anything to make up lies about the prophet. Needless to say, there was no conviction. Your "facts" (i.e., spins) suck.

martinh103 10 months ago
@martinh103 Read your bible and become educated my friend. Tithing and temples were all Jesus' teachings. Jesus himslef taught about the divine nature of man, "Know ye not that yea are gods?" I hope someday you will read the Bible from cover to cover learn to do your homework and will ask your father in heaven in the name of Christ for the truth.
Steedlaw 10 months ago
I hope to that one day you will come to the knowledge of the truth. As stated, the ones who are the most callous and hateful about mormonism have often have ZERO understanding of their own religious history. How do you feel about the extrabiblical creeds developed by Constantine and his murderous book burning cronies? How do you feel about the fact that he poisoned his family, including his own wife? How do you feel about scripture burning?
Steedlaw 10 months ago

Apparently Bridgman became concerned that his uncle's money was being spent in the pursuit of elusive treasure.
martinh103 10 months ago
@martinh103 Ah, the1826 examination? You really might want to try looking at the surrounding facts more than just superficially. A review of all the relevant documents demonstrates (1)
the hearing was likely initiated from religious concerns; i.e. people objected to Joseph's religious claims, (2) no conviction was made, (3) the witnesses' testimonies have not all been transmitted faithfully, and (4) many witness accounts were ADMITTED unreliable. May want to try looking at the context too.

Cecil McGavin, page 17)
martinh103 10 months ago
The Mormon writer E. Cecil McGavin admitted that Joseph Smith gave the Masonic signal of distress: "When the enemy surrounded the jail, rushed up the stairway, and killed Hyrum Smith, Joseph stood at the open window, his martyr-cry being these words, 'O Lord My God!' This was NOT the beginning of a prayer, because Joseph Smith did not pray in that manner. This brave, young man who knew that death was near, started to repeat THE DISTRESS SIGNAL OF THE MASONS,
martinh103 10 months ago
@martinh103 What does this prove, oh hateful one? OOOOH, the masons...scary stuff right there. All masons after all are devil worshipers and cultists, right? Do you even know what a Mason is or where the term Mason came from? Look it up and enlighten yourself.

@martinh103 I urge you to come back to Christ as well; leave this nonsense cult (i.e., Christian orthodoxy) behind you. As teh theif on the cross next to Jesus, just believe on him.

@77vwbusman Mormons do not believe Kolob is a star. Mormons simply believe that Kolob is the "first creation."

@eitoobmiz You sound very smart right now, don't you? I'm forced to conclude that a) you know nothing about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, or b) you're just joking.

@MALDITTOROKKERO, where in the bible does it say we need the bible only? In fact where in the bible itself is the word "Bible"?
And the bible talks about fairly tales, giants, planets, burning bushes, etc as well. So your logic doesn't work here.

Just like in the 1800s so much hate about who is right and who is wrong instead of arguing about it why not pray to god like Joseph Smith did? Stop trying to prove who is right and who is wrong if you do not like Mormons keep it to yourself plan and simple.
wingo67 1 year ago
Actually our writing and books say the Bible and the Book of Mormon are the true words of God so long as they are translated correctly. At no time have we been told otherwise...which is why we read the bible, tell bible stories, and study the words in it. I'm not sure where you got the impression the bible can't be trusted.

you can find the story about the head in a hat in your own mormon books. let's keep in mind that right now you think this story is made up to make the "church" look bad because this story is just ridiculous!... and let's see what kind of excuses you can come up with when you find out this is part of mormonism. here is one thing i found at lds dot org
Russell M. Nelson, “A Treasured Testament,” Ensign, Jul 1993, 61 Joseph Smith would put the seer stone into a hat, and put his face in the hat
MALDITTOROKKERO 1 year ago
Some people who are curious of the church inquire of the outsiders and the ex-mormons, when they should be inquiring the active and devoted members. What will you expect from non members? nothing but pure malice and false rumors. What do you expect from ex-mormons? pure discouragement and bad experiences which they themselves inflicted on themselves by not fully understanding the Gospel. Shouldn't people be asking the active members and ask why they are keeping and defending the faith until now?
watermonkey88 1 year ago
@watermonkey88 "did not fully understand" you mean, they understand better than you on how to put 2+2? your "church" was openly racist til' the year of 1978. and your mormon leaders make things worse when they say it was god the racist one! how can god say "YOU CANNOT ENTER MY CHURCH FOR THE BLACK SKIN I GAVE YOU". god would never say that!!
meadows massacre, mormon racist past, jo smith KILLING 2 men, are these rumours? no!! thats why many people leave mormonism. it's clearly a deceiving cult
MALDITTOROKKERO 1 year ago
@MALDITTOROKKERO hold your horses down there, racist? hmmm who mentioned God is the racist one? As stated on the book of Mormon, God was angry with the perverted ways of the Lamanites. But he also said that the Lamanites, if they will repent and forget their old evil ways, then they will be redeemed and they will be blessed.
watermonkey88 1 year ago
@watermonkey88 listen to you asking me for proof!!! LOL!!... you sound like you have the gold plates on your hands!! now that is funny! you say
"As stated on the book of Mormon, God was angry with the perverted ways of the Lamanites" you can not try to make a point with your book of mormon! not until you have proof of the gold plates! you see how anyone can play that game!!??? it is obvious that these plates never existed! joseph smith had wives of all ages and there is a list. look it up! ;)
MALDITTOROKKERO 1 year ago
@MALDITTOROKKERO ok, no proof of golden plates, hmmm why, do you have proofs of joseph smith putting his head on hat, etc..etc...faith does not need evidence.
watermonkey88 1 year ago
@watermonkey88 also your own mormon book says that you cannot trust the bible! ARE YOU KIDDING ME???!! LOL. and all mormons are ok with this because they have the book of mormon!!?? that means that you mormons really dont put 100% faith in jesus. you worship joseph smith! a man who killed 2 people, is known for his scamms, having sex with married women. joseph smith broke every rule in the 10 commandments! and most mormons i chat with say "it was ok because he was a "prophet" of god... LOL
MALDITTOROKKERO 1 year ago
@MALDITTOROKKERO oh really? where did you get the idea that LDS members do not trust the bible? In fact we have seminary studies and we study about the old and new testament of the bible. In sunday classes, we also read and ponder the bible. If we dont trust the bible, then why teach the bible contents to our young members? get the logic? and about the polygamy, Abraham also had many wives before, but God said he will be blessed. How come then?
watermonkey88 1 year ago
@watermonkey88 sorry i will find that video later today. i need to do something real quick ;)
MALDITTOROKKERO 1 year ago
@MALDITTOROKKERO We don't worship that Joseph Smith. In church, we are taught to worship God and Jesus Christ. Why would we worship Joseph Smith? Who is he to be worshiped? He is a prophet, but God did not say that we should worship his prophet. So why would he worship him? LOL
watermonkey88 1 year ago
@watermonkey88 "LOL" your mormon books and joseph smith writtings say very clearly that the bible cannot be trusted for X reason! how much more nonsense do you need to see so you can understand that is not me saying that!! yet, you mormons still "study" the bible! why??? you dont have to tell me! ask yourself why you mormons read the bible! ;) and about you mormons worshiping joseph smith, here is a video just for you. let me find it! also, joseph smith FAILED the test as a prophet
MALDITTOROKKERO 1 year ago
@MALDITTOROKKERO because the bible contains many important things about christ and his proceedings etc..etc.. The book of mormon is just another testament of Jesus Christ. It is not a replace for the bible. The bible can be trusted, but some of its accounts were ripped off from the book itself by the first translators in rome.
watermonkey88 1 year ago
@watermonkey88 bingo! so you are admiting that you CANT put 100% trust in the bible! and you think you can trust the b.o.m when it's has many changes and errors in it??!!! the last change in the b.o.m (that i can remember) whas in the intro. the word changed was "principle" to "among" if this is the "most correct" book of this earth(according to smith) why the changes?? how many more changes til' its "perfect"? all you need is the bible! and NO. the b.o.m is not another book of christ!
MALDITTOROKKERO 1 year ago
@MALDITTOROKKERO LOL, you're making me laugh, the bible can be trusted, but as what I have said, some of its important accounts were ripped off from the book. It does not mean that even if some of its accounts were ripped off, we wouldn't be trusting it anymore. get the logic? The bible as well has gazillions of changes and errors. And it has more then one translations.
watermonkey88 1 year ago
@MALDITTOROKKERO If you trust the bible so much with all your heart, why is it that it is written there that lucifer/satan is the morning star, and on the last chapter of revelation, jesus said that he was the morning star. Get the point? there are errors in the bible.
watermonkey88 1 year ago
@watermonkey88 so trust the bible and be happy then! ;) thank you!
MALDITTOROKKERO 1 year ago
@MALDITTOROKKERO But I cannot trust the Bible alone, that's stupid. The book of Mormon is true and it contains very important things pertaining to the kingdon of God. The bible is translated so many times by different authors with different interpretations, and it is hard to trust which is which and which translation of the bible is correct. The book of Mormon is only translated by one translator which is Joseph Smith.
watermonkey88 1 year ago
@MALDITTOROKKERO Exactly!! all we need is the bible ONLY IF the first translators wrote everything that was written by the prophets.
watermonkey88 1 year ago
@watermonkey88 Not exactly. The Bible if translated correctly did not contain the Fullness of the Gospel. The Book Of Mormon does. The Book of Mormon is the most correct and most important book ever written

@Mormoninalief
Actually, according to Gospel Doctrine, "The Book of Mormon contains, AS DOES THE BIBLE, the fullness of the everlasting gospel."

@Mormoninalief yes, the first translators ripped off some of the most important accounts in the bible. Therefore, it is not 100 percent accurate.

And that is the strongest evidence of its truth, the testimony of people who believes in it.
watermonkey88 1 year ago
@watermonkey88 awesome what about this for "authenticity" on the changes of your "most correct" book
book of mormon in the 1830 1 Ne 13:40 the lamb of God is the Eternal Father
book of mormon 7 years after - the lamb of God is the son of the Eternal Father
Alma 29:4 1800 Yea, decreeth unto them decrees which are unalterable
b.o.m in 1920... words all deleted
what is it nowadays is it white and delightsome or pure and delightsome!? that was also changed!! most correct book?? LOL
MALDITTOROKKERO 1 year ago
@MALDITTOROKKERO and LOL to you too, even the bible was translated so many times because of its errors. How many bible translations are there anyway?
watermonkey88 1 year ago
@MALDITTOROKKERO And the errors that you stated were nothing compared to the errors of the bible, In the NIV bible,
Isa 14:12 How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!
Revelation 22:16 I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you[a] this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.
hmmm???
watermonkey88 1 year ago
@watermonkey88 the evidence on the DNA video was so overwhelming to the mormons that they felt they needed to change the word "priciples" to "among" in the intro of the bom not too long ago! so when is the "most correct book" going to stop changing?? dont believe me? look it up! mormonism it's full of deceit. planet kolob, gold plates, LOL. it's like watching lord of the rings!

@MALDITTOROKKERO And also, when will the ''bible'' or the word of God stop changing? Why translate it in so many ways having many versions? If you say the book of mormon is fraudulent because changes are made on it, then if that's the case, you also mean to say that the bible is fraudulent, because it is also translated and changed many times.

watermonkey88 1 year ago
@watermonkey88 i got your point. it's very clear! you're pointing out all the errors in the bible! thank you! ;) planet kolob, racism, gold plates, killings(meadows massacre) joseph smith having sex with married women and kids!...LOL.. joseph smith broke every rule in the 10 comandments! mormonism has a horrible past. and you think this is a "true church" LOL this is the reason many people leave your "church" there's the FLDS to remind you of who you really are... weirdos!! ;)

@MALDITTOROKKERO Let me ask you first, are you an LDS member? or have you ever been an LDS member? If you are not then you have no right to judge the church. If you were an ex-mormon, if you thought the church was so evil, how come you became a member in the first place.
watermonkey88 1 year ago
@watermonkey88 and no. i was never a mormon. i started going to their church gatherings where they ask eachother "why is the church true" LOL. to make it a short story. i found out that mormonism works by brain washing the one you love with ridiculous stories(planet kolob is one of them)! when some one is mentally weak, is when the memebers(brain washed members of course) come to you. thats how i seen it!! not much i can tell you with 500 characters ;)
jesus in america is clearly false
MALDITTOROKKERO 1 year ago
@MALDITTOROKKERO ok..so i see you were never a member of the church. Then due to the circumstances, it is clear to say that you do not have ANY right to justify the church and the book of Mormon. I have been a member for over 18 years, and therefore I say that the church is true. You say it isn't, but you weren't even a member even for just 6 months. You only say the church is not true, based on what you read and hear from other people's perspectives and not based on years of experience.

Not saying it was him but not "clearly false."
catmani2 1 year ago
@catmani2 "Have you ever heard the tale of Quetzalcoatl"
listen. mormons dont have proof for their fairytales and they have to make stuff up somehow and an effort to make people believe in your "church". do you think people (EVERONE) wouldnt know about jesus visiting the americas if it really did happen? the bible says very clear that when jesus died he was done! but it's useless telling a mormon about the bible. because you only take what you want out of it and use it to your advantage. cont-
MALDITTOROKKERO 1 year ago
@MALDITTOROKKERO Where does it say in the Bible that Jesus died and was done? Obviously he wasn't since he spent around 40 days on earth after he died. Also, read John 10:16. Who are those other sheep? He will go to them because he says they will hear his voice. Hmm, who hasn't studied for themselves?Obviously not done. Quetzalcoatl is not a fairytale. Do you know nothing of the Aztecs, Inca's, or other indian civilizations? I just pointed out there there is evidence to support Jesus in America
catmani2 1 year ago
@MALDITTOROKKERO And to your statement of everyone would have known, why doesn't everyone know that he came to Israel? Why was there missionary work to let the rest of the world know about him?

I am unfamiliar with that. The hat had a singulat stone in it and so what.

@MALDITTOROKKERO The FLDS?? aren;t they cast out of the church because they insist to practice polygamy?
watermonkey88 1 year ago
@MALDITTOROKKERO You could say whatever you want to say about the church, but as for me, the basis of my faith is not on historians and article writers or the internet sites that publish allegations about the church. As for me, I base my faith on prayer and the direction of God. I prayed to God and asked if the church is true, he said yes, and what more evidence should I need to have to believe that the church is true.
watermonkey88 1 year ago
@MALDITTOROKKERO I'm not a weirdo, I'm just a normal person defending my faith and the true church of Christ. You're the weirdo, because you spend so much of your friggin time commenting rubbish on lds videos. For what?? Jesus Christ despised hatred and saying bad allegations to your neighbors. You are the opposite of christ's example. So why should people believe you?
watermonkey88 1 year ago
@MALDITTOROKKERO Anyway, did I mention that the bible is wrong? No, I never said that the bible is wrong. What I said was the bible too, has errors and changes. understand now? watermonkey88 1 year ago
@MALDITTOROKKERO Wow, why so angry. If it isn't true then why do you fight against it so much. That what I don't understand about people like you. Cause you certainly don't care much for well being of those you persecute. It makes me to wonder why you fight so readily against something haven't even given a fair chance.
amy1584 1 year ago
@amy1584 the problem with them is that they perceive things based on other people's perceptions and not based on their own. The church is true. I am an active member but my father is not. He committed so many bad things like adultery, drug use and disobeyed the words of wisdom, Albeit the perversions that he's making right now, he would still encourage me to go to church and never did he deny that the church is true. He just did not endure that's why he fell on that state.
watermonkey88 1 year ago
@amy1584 me pointing out how wrong mormonism is means im angry?? look up all the things i've said! if anything im having fun with this whole star/planet kolob fairy tale!! LOL.. thanks for your comment and i hope your angel "moron-i" bring back the gold plates or i hope you can find them soon i know they been "misplaces". oh and i will call batman and tell him we need to go to new york and see this hill cumorah. maybe i can find super man so we can all have some subway ;)
MALDITTOROKKERO 1 year ago
@MALDITTOROKKERO Your funny. Have you actually done any research into the mormon faith, or are you just spouting off what you have heard and read on anti-mormon sites? And you claim mormons are brain washed. If you want to actually understand the mormon church and get through the lies and half truths that are out there then ask a mormon, go to mormon friendly sites as well as anti sites. If it isn't true then you have nothing to worry about. If it is, then you should probably pay attantion.
catmani2 1 year ago
@MALDITTOROKKERO You wouldn't go to a nazi to learn about the Jews would you? Yet by seeking only the defamatory that is essentially what you are doing. You mentioned mountain meadows, but you failed to mention the murders and rapes of women and children, the driving of people off their land multiple times, and other terrible things done by "christians" to mormons. By your reasoning all christianity is false because look what they did in the dark ages.
catmani2 1 year ago
@catmani2 "You wouldn't go to a nazi to learn about the Jews would you?"
very good you say that! i've asked the mormons about hill cumorah and i get 2 different version. some say hill cumorah is in new york, others tell me it's somewhere in mexico!. are you kidding me??? if you guys dont even know, and cant agree on what you think you believe. than this story it's clearly false!! that is ONE of the reasons why it's not a good idea to ask a mormon about mormonism. makes sense?
MALDITTOROKKERO 1 year ago
@MALDITTOROKKERO What makes you think there is only one hill cumorah? Ammaron hid all the records that the Book of Mormon was written from in the hill cumorah. Most people believe thatthe events of the BoM were in central Mexico so therefore that is where it would be located. Moroni fled from the Lamanites for many years and buried the plates in the hill cumorah. If he was fleeing for years, would it not be logical that he didn't stay in the same place but traveled away from the Lamanites?
catmani2 1 year ago
@MALDITTOROKKERO In the BoM it states that the Lamanites were to the south and where is the hill cumorah that the plates were found? In New York, up north. So there is no discrepency that I can see. There are two. One in central america and one in New York. Both have significance to them. I hope that cleared things up for you.
