  • Better than the original by far. Keeps the original flavor but takes it so much farther.

  • Really digging the sounds from the past, but I wish the lighting was better. Can't see the singer's face. Otherwise, great job! Thank you! :-)

  • @Wubba2Write Really digging the modern sounds.. Never have seen really clear your face either ;)))

  • WoW this is good, is there a fan club, Grayhounds rock..

  • Love the orchestration! The kazoo part should have been replaced by a sax. This is a very interesting song for it's era. The girl is confused that Johnny is not the stereotypical male to whom she would be more comfortable being the stereotypical girl. 'Johnny I said we were through, just to see what you would do. You stood there and hung your head. Made me wish that I were dead', is indicative of a conflicted girl seeking love within the safety of conformity. There is a generation of such girls.

  • Wow, a pleasant surprise!

  • Music is much too loud for the singing.

  • She sings the first line wrong. Aren't the correct words, "Johnny I said we were through?" She is clearly singing something completely different.

  • What "violence against women or children"? She is merely asking Johnny to be the 'alpha' male she desires; oh, and she wants a "lecture". This "political correctness" nonsense will be the death of our society yet.

  • @MrSkiwicz : Liked your remark re. Johnny Get Angry. See my post. I hadn't heard this song in YEARS and the orchestration of this song changed my mind about a song which I thought trite. There is some real pathos within the orchestration, the song containing lyrics which I had mistaken. 'Johnny must you be so MEEK, I had always thought/heard 'be so MEAN'. I think there's a good period teen flick movie in this song re. male/female stereotypes. The opening lyrics are particularly poignant. Thanks!

  • Brill Guys. Have Fun.

  • GO GIRL...

  • Gratos recuerdos de cuando estudiaba en el Raimondi, Perico Durán era "la voz" con su Festival Juvenil en Órbita.

  • すごく良いパフォマンスです。

  • There is a very strong possibility the song was meant to be ironic. ;)

  • @JubalCalif Christ! What fifth rate Vegas lounge are you playing with THAT material!

And no, feminists(and most of the rest of us)wouldn't really be thrilled these days with lyrics in which, essentially, a woman ASKS to be beaten by her boyfriend as a sign of affection.

  • @KennBurch

It must be tough to go thru life with no sense of humor. I pity you.

  • @JubalCalif I have a sense of humor. But violence against women(or children) isn't a legitimate source of comedy.

BTW, there was no humor IN your post. You just sounded like Rush Limbaugh coming down from a four-day Oxycontin bender.

  • Nice posting! このステージはどちらでしょうか?このグループはどこで会えますか?バンド名は?

  • GREAT OLDIE..but the spotlight spoils in seeing Joanie..TOO BAD!! LOVE it though..THANX

  • the kazoo was used in the "60's" Joanie Sommers" version of this song.

Grayhounds captured the 60's spirit with their delivery and I love the gal's dress!

    Great job!!

  • うまい!!

  • Would this be the first use of the kazoo in pop music?

  • bet they sound good doing suki yaki,

  • Jazzy Piano riff was used in Beatles "Day In The Life, Paul & John had good ears an enyclopedic musical minds as did multi talented and multi musical tasker & producer George Martin

  • outstanding!

  • Something eerie about it, but I like it.

  • thx for uploading :)

  • Nice version of a great song! They sound great!
