Really? The Greek community in the UK is very strong. There are established areas that are very Greek and the festivals are absolutely wonderful.Children are expected to go to Greek school and they appreciate the culture like the Latin Americans in LA. It's brilliant over here!

Well, I'm not so young (68)from Greek American family. I love Greek folk music- and many other kinds- and i've never heard my favorites sung more beautifully. Nor have I seen Greek dances done as well as by Lykio Ellinidon.These youtube videos are delightful! Thank you all very much!

these dances and the musical style are mostly derived from Albanian folk traditions, though there are some minor modifications to the steps... in any case, these are decidedly not Greek in origin...

this is a classic example of Hellenization of neighboring cultures and is mostly shameful.
