I love the sound of this flute. It's very close to the sound of the Anasazi flute. I always come here to listen to you playing Anasazi, as it' gives me more motivation to keep playing mine. Thank You!
It's fingered like most standard six hole Native American flutes. The fourth hole from the bottom is covered to get the basic scale. The player opens holes from the bottom, no cross fingering and as mentioned, keeps the fourth hole covered.

C'est incroyable de voir comment la flute imite essentiellement une piscine baleine dans l'eau et la facon dont il appelle a d'autres!

Any sound enhancements going on there besides maybe some added reverb? Sounds so much better than the metal ones.

Beautiful music Scott, thanks. Is that a Pat Haran flute?

Yes, This is a Pat Haran flute.

HI Scott - thanks for making a song for the whales. What key is the flute?
bagOprions 2 years ago
Is the fundamental D2? This is Haran's "lowest flute"?
bagOprions 2 years ago
It's the D below middle C. I don't know if this is Pat's lowest flute. That's a good question.
scottaugust 2 years ago
Isn't middle C C4? That's got to be two octaves below that! subbass, or contrabass. That's a bazooka.
melyrn 2 years ago
how many octaves can you play in with that thing?
yanikv 2 years ago
It plays one octave.
scottaugust 2 years ago
Oh, ok - I think that's D3, ~147 Hz.
