I think the reason why the flash is always on is because when your taking a picture at night although you can still see behind the phone you won't be able to see anything on the lcd

They each have their plusses a minuses. I think the Touch Pro is far easier to use with a finger, which is kinda important to me. The X1, on the other hand, is slicker looking and has a higher res display. Forced to choose, I'd probably go with the Touch Pro.

Try closing all the application you had running in the background (ie, opera, active sync, calendar, photos and videos.)and then run the camera. should be much smoother. thank you for your videos btw, great quality.

The X1 has 200MB of RAM, there is no need to close other apps. That phone is never short on RAM.

why ur phone is (more or less) 50% slower than mine ?? and i haven't flash the rom yet !! i did what u did and most of the time i was way faster than what u did..if you go to xda-developers forums there is a ton of useful info on how to make this phone to fly.. Btw i have the X1i not the X1a that you might have.

I have an X1a, and it is in the condition that Sony Ericsson sent it to me. We test them in their default condition, which is how the vast majority of users would use the device.

After watching all of the reviews it seems to me that the phone is not worth the price. There are plenty of other smart phones out there and I think Sony still has some work ahead to make the phone competitive.

Trust me- do NOT swap your iphone for the X1. If you're determined to make a swap, there are better devices which you could consider such as the HTC Pro or HD or the Samsung Omnia or Pixon.
