@yumireiku I don't recommend it as a face moisturizer for everyone, I use it as a night cream because it prevents wrinckles (I know i'm just 20, but still=)) and I don't get any pimples, but on knees, elbows, ankles, and hands it is really good actually, just thought you could like it as apparently you have dry skin.

@CrystalRuizEnriquez Yup, dry skin (mainly in winter) is a big problem for me. But I save the Vaseline for my feet and elbows. Not to mention Freemans has face masks that work AMAZINGLY for all different kinds of stuff. Clogged pores, blackheads, wrinkles, dry skin etc. I use their goji berry mask once a week and my skin is always softer instantly. It's 99 cents and one package makes 2 masks. I'd rather spend the dollar than risk a greasy breakout from Vaseline.

do NOT use vaseline over a tattoo!! its too oily, thick and does not absorb quickly enough. a tattoo needs to be DRY to heal.

@MissCasualTs I used vaseline over two of my tattoos and they healed faster and better than my third tattoo which I used bepanthen for as reccomended by my tatttooist. It's fine to use just dont put a massive amount on it. If you leave it dry without using anything it won't heal nicely and will be quite painfull until it is healed.

You gave a lot of good tips except for two of them. You would never want to put vaseline on acne. That would only make it worse. The best thing for acne is rubbing alcohol. You would never want to use vaseline on your scalp for dandruff either. It would only cause more dandruff. .

If u got pimples it means u have over grown skin that has dried and has clogged ur hair follicles. Scrub with a loofa thats sturdy and rough but dont put too much pressure or you can tear the skin. Try hypoallergenic cream instead! Vaseline clogs pours! Maybe even olive oil can help! Its organic;) and healthy n wont clog pours:)

an amazing use for vaseline is if you're going to wear heels for a long period of time rub some vaseline on the back of your ankle where the shoe meets your skin to prevent irritation [:

vaseline is actually my hero. i had a TERRIBLE reaction to the product, "acne free" last year. it was wayyyy too strong causing my skin to become dry, flakey, red, itchy and burn like a mofo. i actually had a beard of dry flakey skin....IT WAS GROSS. i tried all these moisturizers but none worked.

i would NOT use this on new tattoo's during the healing process, it sucks the ink out, and you will have to go in for another session to darken the tattoo later on. Instead use lubriderm lotion, it keeps the ink in while conditioning the skin where you were tattoo'd and helps with the peeling process.
