yer sorta new rules, basically tag duels have become an official format, its both players playing on the same field with 5 card limits against the other team, you share 8000 lifepoints per team.

(0:41)that's just it,it's not the same game as in real life,on the show monsters are played in face-up defense and they are tons card effects on the show that have totally different effects then the real life card versions of them,they still bullshit the real rules of this card game in the anime
