Looks like it might be a spent weather balloon. They are launched mostly empty and expand a lot in the upper atmosphere. Afterwards they deflate and hover near the ground till they totally deflate. They are long and can have very long tethers that can catch on things and hold them in place.

It was a part of a Polytunnel which was being fixed to the ground when the wind caught it and it took off heading South. It was sealed at one end and that caused it to inflate. I'm surprised it raised an eyebrow!.

It's a "solar balloon"- a simple You Tube search finds many examples.

The fact that the Lancashire Evening Post "runs a story" on it shouldn't be taken as eveidence other than it was a very slow news day for them.

Look closely to the clouds close to the object you filmed, I believe your answers floats there.

Ive had a look at those solar balloons.

They are black, so you could be right but its shape isnt really the same!

Yes ive watched a few of the videos, the main object seen was a one man jet, that cant fly over 30 feet.

But preston is pretty populated and i assume that if they were going to try secret stuff out they could do it in the country or atleast at night.

I Also didnt get the creatures from another planet bit, that was confusing.

Ow that thing about the creatures was something i red in a book once.

It explained that aliens visit our planet when they feel that they are insignificant in this universe,and then they see how we live.
