I would never dream of comparing a song to a dictatorship. I compare however the attitude of people hailing symbols of injust regimes. Population growth in a civilised country comes to no real surprise have a look at the population of the Palestinians in Israel and Palestine. I would never dream of comparing a song to a dictatorship. I compare however the attitude of people hailing symbols of injust regimes. Also i would go so far as to compare ideologies that distinguish the value of people by their ancestry. Be this on the basis of their skin colour or the size of their nose - it's equally ridiculous to me. Untill this day i'm amused that my south african birth certificate identifies me as a purely white male.

Also, development was not "seperate" as the whites were by law (which they had written) in control of the entire country, being the only authority to designate areas for the different racial groups. Just because Apartheid had more subtle ways of killing than gassing does not make it less condemnable. Luckily i know that only a small minority in the country dissents to this, making SA nog steeds een van die mooiste lande van die wêreld.

The problem with your analogy is that the black population increased from 8,5 to 38 Million during the Apartheid era, increased its life expectancy from 38 to 64 and surpassed the health and wealth indicators for the rest of Africa by far. By comparing Apartheid with the Holocaust you insult the Nazi victims. You also force people to defend Apartheid, simply because your accusation is so incredibly ignorant. You are likening a thief to a killer, so people in fairness defend the thief.

I'm about to finish my law degree thus I'm trained to defend thieves and killers not to compare them - that's up to historians. I can compare systems though without attacking anyone not involved. Perhaps you agree, that both Nazism and Apartheit where basely inhumane ideologies. It would take too long to explain why I couldn't insult Nazi victims (and why you can't speak for them) but I don't think I can make people defend apartheit unless they want to. Population growth in a civilised country comes to no real surprise have a look at the population of the Palestinians in Israel and Palestine. Of course they grow in numbers as the general health situation improves, yet they live under very diminished conditions. But that is all besides the point, the point is that in my opinion hailing a symbol of something so unjust and inhumane as apartheid was is objectionable however good the singer may be.

I always thought my english was good but it seems to fail me there. Are you saying you hate moral relativism and by the same token you feel compelled to defend Apartheit because in your eyes Nazi Germany was much much worse? And a country can be "civilzed" in an infrastructural sense whilst obeying uncivilized ideologies. Germany was civilzed in that sense. So no, i disagree to your statement. And my main critique here is still the nationalistic tone in the salute to the flag of a gone regime.

My family in Jo'burg who consider themselves Afrikaner, would strongly oppose that. The racism in Israel is of course no genozide, but the occupation ind Gaza & the west bank is almost as condemnable as apartheid was back then. By comparing these 3 concepts you will carefully have to find where they overlap and where they don't.

In nederland is er een enorme polarisatie. Er is totaal geen integratie en is de allochtone medelander ook opvallend vaak in de gevangenis te vinden.. Het heeft niets met ras te maken, maar met cultuur en affectie aan een land. Het probleem in zuid afrika is dat er twee bevolkingsgroepen leven met verschillende komaf en culturen. Nu de apartheid is afgeschaft (goed ding) zie je daar hetzelfde gebeuren als hier in NL gebeurd namelijk dat de multiculturele samenleving niet werkt!!
