It us a great video I live in Iowa City but I think the focus on CR was fine the message was good and as you know there are still thousand who are living in some temporaray house a year later.
You have a good point. The map was intended to show how widespread the disaster was; then I wanted to use a couple of cities as examples. In the longer version of this video (link in the info box, upper right) we also show what happened in the rural community of Oakville, Iowa. When you try to list or show all of the towns and cities affected (or get an accurrate count) someplace invariably gets left out, and that creates an issue, so this was an attempt to avoid that.
