Hey Everybody! I have just released my new electronic album “Sub-Zero” which is heavily influenced by the world of Resident Evil and the music of Masami Ueda. If you're interested you can listen to the full album on my youtube channel, as well as download the album for free!
the evolution of REgames very dissapointing... THIS is what resident evil is all about and not running around in afrika under the burning sun with a hot afrikan girl while shooting innocent black/pakistani people...
this hallway music reminds me of the first time i played this game when i heard wesker say"alright you two go,I'll secure this area...stay sharp!"i was hooooooly crap
@aaronjarvis1 I played this remake for oh, about five or so minutes, and decided it wasn't for me. They turn the mansion into a gloomy haunted house, complete with lightning crashes. I felt they botched the atmosphere completely
@StonedAssassinNZL I don't see why you'd say that, especially since I'm defending an older game (Resident Evil 1996), while you're defending a newer one (Resident Evil Remake 2002)
If you enjoyed it, that's your opinion; I'm just saying I couldn't get into it. I still hold that the first two titles are the series' golden era
@nightmare011 Dude, I'm the one defending the original RE, and you're the one apparently defending the remake; so on what basis are you saying 'there's never gonna be another RE1'? Yeah, I know, that's kinda why the remake seemed to suck for me. beginning to wonder if you know the Gamecube RE was a remake...
Of course I do, but in a lot of terms, what's the point of defending either one. Considering they are both the same game, just one with improved graphics, so how can the more modern not beat the other one?
@nightmare011 There's a thing called atmosphere, and it was done very well in the first two games. From what I saw of the remake, they overdid it. The house was silent, brightly lit and inviting in the original, making the monsters all the more alarming. When they turned the setting into a haunted house Gothic mansion is the remake, I quickly turned it off
@IantheLiberal remake was way more better then the orginal because of there almost realistic graphics, it made it way more scareyer and real like, and they changed things in it from the orginal so its not 100% the same, you should try it sometime, the remake has more scarey atmosphere, the thunder is pretty sppoky in a scarey place and zombies are more deadlyer they come back as super zombies unless you burn there bodies or something like that, thats not in the orginal. Remake is scaryer by far!
@savedogz I highly doubt that dude; I'm playing the original again lately and can't see what a remake could do to justify its own existence. But I will try the remake out one day perhaps, if only bc the original creators were involved and I'm morbidly curious what they did with it
@IantheLiberal im sure you will love and enjoy the remake in its own special way, I do find the remake more scarey due to the graphics being so real like I am able to get into the game on a whole.. another... level... lol then the orginal, not dising it. It has more of a scarey facter to it, but people who know the game inside out prob wouldnt have that problem since I am stuck and zombies return that I have killed raise up again more fast deadly and such at me, lol.
@IantheLiberal the remake is ausome i find the orignal amazing and funny and scary the remake was very darker and incredible the both brilliant anyway
@Chrisevil11106 Cool. I keep being implored to finish the remake so I shall. You're the third to tell me lol. I want to write my own Resident Evil. I'm still in the pondering stage but the ideas are coming along and I'm excited. Hope you read it if I ever publish!
@TheMostBleedingHeart I liked 4. 3 was good, but what a letdown after 2. I'm due for another playthrough of both, and will possibly review them on this site
@TheMostBleedingHeart I'm with ya, but I'd rather it be creepy than action heavy. Tone goes a long way. One thing I liked so much about the first two was they had one key location you're tied to, giving a certain claustraphobia. A high school might work for a new entry
I prefered the original more. Why? Cause it was the True original Resident Evil, The Cheesy acting was hilarious. The classic music. It would beat the remake any day. And the fact that the mansion was all lite up made it 10 times more scary.
Man..right now its 3:40 in the morning...I'm listening to this song, in a huge house which I dubbed the Spencer Mansion (it's that big), and now I have a want to play Resident Evil, the GC remake...that was the one RE game that no matter how many times I played it, it scared me shitless. Just the entire atmosphere of the game, the soundtrack, the gameplay, the monsters, everything was well done for what I believed to be what REAL survivor horrors are about. Damn, I love this game.
Ah yes, this does bring back memories indeed! I love how this song still has it's "creepiness" that it had when used in the original RE and is so good they even used it in the REmake for the Gamecube....a timeless classic! :)
My 360 died so I decided to play the remake and I still love it! X3 I hope Capcom goes back to its roots and remakes 2 and 3 oh won't that be a happy day. RE rulez!
this theme was very memorable and first theme in RE that i remembered since i played the original game 10 years ago. It makes me want to think about going through a door every time i play RE/Biohazard.
I really got shook up playing this game at midnight with the lights off some off the things I never expected because I played the original, zombies crashing through windows, hunters crashing through doors, learning the hard way about crimson heads, and just the creepiness of the game itself!
Goosebumps!
