  • any tips to make the leaves a little smaller? i finally finished the pumpkin, except for stitching and stuffing! yay!

  • @ashlinzmama @13:40 You can use a smaller crochet hook or just make them shorter and use single crochet if they are to wide

  • Hi Teresa, How do I make different sizes? I'm not good with math so you would need to tell me the number of chains, etc.. I'd like to make one or two a little bigger. Thank you, so much. You're a doll.

  • @meadowlassie You can add as many extra stitches as you would like. For example you can add 10 or 20. Then you will add more rows to compensate for the extra stitches, making it fatter around.

  • how many mm is a G size hook?

  • @konakonaXD It is estimated at 4.25mm

  • fun! thanks for sharing

  • Oh my! that pumkin is cool! thank youso much my lovley love

  • @tjw1963 like, I can so one row or column. I can't seem to connect them and make another row or column. I could make a rope but not a scarf.

  • Love it but I can only do one chain when I crochet

  • @EmisiaNY I am not sure what you mean by one chain.

  • @tjw1963 i think she means she can only do single crochet not double crochet. :)

  • @EmisiaNY I will provide some beginner video for you.

  • Thank you! I added a spiral and a stem and one leaf. It's adorable!

  • @ShareC78 That sounds cute!!

  • Hi Teresa, I'm having trouble grabbing the back loop with my hook. Any suggestions? I'm using a 4mm G hook.

  • @princessgumbie Try making your stitches a little bit looser so you can get ahold of them.

  • I just finished my first one! Thanks so much!! You do such a great job! This is the first "project" of yours I have done but I have learned at least 4 stitches from you!! Thanks for being so nice as to teach us!

  • This pattern is fantastic! I made a pumpkin and then decided to put potpourri wrapped in cheesecloth inside the pumpkin with the batting. now it looks AND smells great!

  • Oh and i have a idea you could only do just a few rows intel there are three ribs in it and tie it togerther so it looks like a pepper i dont know if that would work but it would be kind of cute.

  • As always Teresa, you are the best. Totally deserving the Martha Stewart award. Very happy for you, and thank you for your videos and patterns

  • Thank you. :)

  • They look really cute! I think ill make a few for my grandmorther.

PS i love your videos there so helpful and clear!

  • It looks like you're going through the front loop in the beginning.

  • can you make some more holloween projects similar to this?

  • how i make a big pumkin

  • thank you so much for this! i'm making it right now! one question...how many rows do you crochet of 3 stich 7 stich 3 stich? just until they can connect to make a circle?

  • If you look to the right of the video under "More Info", the written instructions are posted on my crochet blog. It will have the details for how many rows. You can easily add more or less rows.

  • i just finished the pumpkin and it turned out awsome. ive also done the abstract cat throw and it turned out great as well u are such a good teacher thanks for teaching me to crochet.

  • I tried to print instructions and couldn't. I'm just why not?

  • What happened when you tried to print the instructions? Maybe your printer is malfunctioning?

  • Hi,I crocheted the pumpkin and the Christmas tree. Thank you so much.. i enjoyed it a lot. I gave them to my grandchildren.I learned some crochet from my mother;she taught me how to crochet a baby suit. thanks again..

  • You are welcome. :)

  • Thanks Teresa for responding to my video...

What do you think about my idea of using red yarn to make tomatoes?

  • You can make a tomato instead of a pumpkin. You might want to consider doing traditional stitches instead of the ribbed stitches, since tomato's are smooth.

  • Hmmm.. Hadn't thought of that lil detail.. thanks!

  • i would so do that if i knew how 2 crochet. can u make one by knitting?!?! then i could do it!!!

  • I am not a knitter.

  • it might even be nice to fill with larger shavings of cedar chips or lavendar in a small bag for your drawers or even maybe potpourri

  • Thank you for sharing your great ideas and suggestions.

  • Very cute. I love your instructions! So great! I can't wait to do some of the flowers!

  • Thank you. :)

  • lovely! I'm going to have to try that one for halloween :) :) :)

  • For some of you that would only buy the filling to make this pumpkin, I used some of the inside of an old comforter, it's the samething.

I guess you could even use some of the inside of an old pillow or even cotton balls if you need filling just to make this awesome pumpkin.

  • Thank you for sharing your great ideas and suggestions. This is a great way to recycle and use what you have around the house.

  • Thank you for everything you do for us.

    God bless you and yours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You are welcome. :)

  • I hatre Red Heart yarn. If you're making an afghan, it comes out all tough and itchy, lol.

  • All these fancy yarns have not always been around so I would use a couple dryer sheet or heavy on the fabric softener. It really softens up the yarn a lot after you wash it.

  • Or even cotton yarn, if you don't like acrylics. I don't use Red Heart for afghans, but I think that for projects such as this pumpkin and toys, it's perfect, since it holds its shape so well.

  • i have a question about your videos... how do you get it to be so perfectly still and clear? do you have a special stand for ur cam or something? BTW love the pumpkin! ill make a few to decorate my table on halloween then add some other things to use it on thanksgiving too!:)

  • I am using a cheap camera with a tripod. I would love to have a fancier camera one day so the work shows up even better.

  • cool Ill try that although I have a digital camera and my vids are as long as the memory stick can hold... thanks for your reply :)
