Cruze's Production for the U.S. Market will be done by Chevrolet of America, but you can buy one in Mexico right now, which is also imported from Korea as it is in many other countries.
It is now, But from 2010 it will be built in Australia alongside the Holden Commodore. This car was also engineered in Australia but is being built in its first year of production in Korea because they wanted to rush it to market.
I'm from the United States, but I think this car looks absolutely sharp from every angle. We're likely getting the Chevrolet Cruze here in the States, but that Holden Cruze looks very sharp. I have no problem with small cars, but I do think you've infuzed lots of character into. Well done, Holden!
It's Jason@Holden here ... Cruze is on sale so you if you are in Oz, you are seeing cars being driven by real live customers. There are still some Holden pre-release test cars going around but they aren't looking any different to the others (unless someone left all the old camoflage on!).
As an aside, GM is using the (Chevrolet) Cruze in the US to demonstrate the Volt electric vehicle technology! They are off the same architecture.
Oh no, you've discovered our kryptonite-powered spec :-). Not sure what you might have seen, sorry. Might have even been a pre-delivery car with no plate?
More seriously, CD spec 2.0-litre turbo-diesel is certainly available in manual or auto. The turbo is a VGT ... Variable geometry turbo. Tres cool. I spent the day in one of these on the national media launch and the journos seemed to really like it.
Hello Holden I have a few bones to pick with this car.. Why does the back end look ridiculously similar to Honda Civic.
And why did you call it Cruze? It is nothing like that crap 4WD Holden sold a few years back. Why not call it the next Viva? Much more similar to the Holden Viva
Can't wait to get my cruze. Seeing a dealer today about it :D

@hirolla888 - did you not test drive it? Diesel is much better and the turbo will launch with the hatch in March, wagon coming too.
I'm not a big fan of the back-end but comparing it to the main non-euro competition, it's pretty well put together.

I just bought one of these cars, and it's far better than I could have hoped. I went for the diesel CD model and the power it produces is great.
Very, very happy :)

You should have bought the diesel version. FAR superior to the petrol.

i think the Astras were built a lot better. And yes the petrol version is hopeless.
