The convention for bassoons was to write the model and serial number engraved on metal on the butt. Just remove the cover.

Where do you find the make/model of a bassoon? I have a Fox by Renard, that's all I know. Thanks :)

@STMAKnightMike The model is usually on the butt. Remove the cap first and then it is usually engraved.

Sounds a little flat. Good job though. I want to get the Amati contra. Also from Czechoslovakia

You think some warming up will make it in tune? It was just fixed when the video was taken.

Try pushing in the tuning slide (if it can go in farther than it is), it makes a huge difference.
@cellofellow1223 Whats a tuning slide?
Same country my bassoon's from.
My bassoon's model number is 17. Pretty old, huh.
Cept mine's not a contrabassoon, it's just a regular bassoon.

Am trying to sell this one....have any idea where I can sell?

eBay, maybe.
I'm not sure. But that's my guess.
Or you can probably sell it to a music store, willing to buy a contrabassoon.
How mucH?
@cellofellow1223 give me an offer I cant refuse.
@fluterampal how much?

I guess 6000 dollars would do it. What do you think?
