  • Yoko Kanno is so amazing i luv the music she makes beautiful its so amazing

  • sounds kinda similar to the older macross series soundtracks

  • reminds me of indepenance day somehow

  • @measmyself1 No she didn't; Robotech's audio and any made-up character names and terms by Harmony Gold are owned solely by Harmony Gold. Big West, Tatsunoko, and Nue have no rights to the music in Robotech, only the footage for the first season, but only out of the US. HG bought all rights to that footage in the States.

  • The end of this track is the part I was looking for Episode 24 where Sheryl sees Alto off for the Battle for the Vajra homeworld..

  • 4:20-end is simply "F--K YEAH"-worthy.

  • @CaptainSeato 0:00 - end is worthy of it.

  • @OtakuMage Yeah, but 4:20 - end is what I like most from the song.

  • This is why I love Kanno Yoko san.

  • from 2:38 it sounds like something bad yet incredible is happening

  • Have to point this out: 2:53 sounds almost like a rehashed bit of the first part of the Rick Hunter theme from Robotech. It may be coincidence, but I wouldn't put even that past Yoko Kanno...

  • now why would make a comment like that? I mean really, come on.

  • Well, Yoko Kanno's well-known for... taking artistic license on many pieces from others. I mean, this has a lot of what I remember from Lilo & Stitch's soundtrack.

Also, I'd like to point out that the comment puts Robotech in a bad light.

Where have I seen your name before, Yepdrinker?

  • Yeah I know about her works, I do like her works and I see this type of comments on her way too much. Sorry I guess I was bit annoyed. Didn't mean to come off like that. About my name, check your shin vs alto video.

  • Right! That's where I saw it. ShinFail!

I mean, I don't mean to come off as an asshole when I say that about Yoko Kanno, but I just feel that I have to point out some similarities.

  • Like I said before... Independence Day, music by David Arnold, very similar in terms of style and note layout! Still sounds good however

  • Yes definitely a David Arnold homage.

  • There's strong, and then there's New United Nations Spacy strong (badum tsh)

  • NUNS, helping unman the front lines.

The few, the proud, the SMS.

There's strong, and then there's Zentraedi strong.

  • Not quite as inspiring as some of the other Kanno Yoko instrumentals.
