If you listen carefully at around 6:57 when the cop says "Please I've got a little kid at home" you can hear Mr. Blonde saying "No, no, no.." off camera. Turns out the actor playing Mr. Blonde (Michael Madsen) had just had a little kid, and the "little kid" line was ad-libbed and unexpected. He reportedly had serious difficulty finishing the scene as a result.

Mind you, Michael actually drove around with the cop (Kirk Baltz) in his trunk "just to get a feel for what it's like" and he actually went to the drivethrough with Kirk in there, and Kirk KNEW that Michael just had a son, so that was his revenge in a way.
