@lenief Yay! So I've talked to a few people I know about Silverchair. A few of them knew "Tomorrow", but my 30 year old bro-in-law actually knew a few other songs. It's probably because most of the people I know or who I'm friends with are too young to really remember the 90's very well. Most of them are only interested in modern-day pop/rock/rap and such. Which is cool too...but old stuff is worth a listen to also...like Silverchair.

Ill honestly say as a guy who loves grunge music..and loves silverchair's first two albums..I like to see bands mature and change their style of music.. and for me Young Modern is a Brilliant Album. Neon Ballroom is the best one though out of them all. I cant wait for the new album to come out whenever that may be

Daniel has said that Neon Ballroom was the first album they did that didn't have the label dictating what sound to go for, so he doesn't like much of the first two albums and wants to move from them, and while I, like most original fans love those records, even I can see how this new stuff both musically and melodically is better and makes sense now versus what they did when they were 15, Silverchair will never do another Frogstomp so let's all accept it and enjoy what they are do

People keep comparing Young Modern to Coldplay..........WHAT?? Coldplay couldn't even come close to producing an album with as much musical genius as this album. I've been listening to SC since their debut; and I find their musical progression fascinating! I'm glad Daniel is still not doing what he was doing when he was 15. If he did, then I would really have to doubt his genius. He's not stuck in a genre just because his record company wants to make money.

Coldplay gets heavier than this album. Really I think Coldplay is much more original and subversive than this. I love Silverchair and this is a nice song but come on... this is far too generic and plain. I like it but I tend to expect something more subversive and deeper in musical terms from Silverchair, and no matter the genre (grunge, alternative, rock, pop, etc).

I still find Neon Ballroom original because that was when they first started to change in style so it was a mix of grunge and a mix of their new experimental sound. That I feel worked. But I just don't like when bands change so much that 0% of their original sound is still present. Why fix what isn't broken. Reminds me of what Metallica did. Like I said, just not my style, but I do respect this music.

An amazing break through for the band. As far as current stuff, I feel like they have retained an incredible knack for melody, and still know how to rock out. It might not be "grunge" anymore, but I don't think that's a bad thing. They have always been musical prodigies.

I actually listen to their first three albums more than anything from Pearl Jam. That's why I was lying about their originality. It just annoyed me so much because they're my second favorite grunge band (behind Nirvana) and they don't even make grunge music anymore, haha.

The video is an artist's wet dream. lol It has everyone from Da Vinci to Warhol and Dahli, but mostly Magritte. I especially enjoyed the Dadaism references. And that's just to name a few of my favorites. Check out the real artwork if you ever get the chance, it's all amazing.
