Yea run it at half the boost on a high compression motor, and pull power because if you tried boosting the same amount of boost as half these people are you'd blow your internals threw the hood of your car, so 400+ HP is all you'll see with a high compression turbo setup, and that is if you don't float your valves, and trash your head.. 4g63 has over a decade of race history for a reason, so quit hating..

@evox3222 nope as a DSM owner the motors last for fucking ever ive had the same near 400hp 90 eclipse for near 5 years now never once had a motor problem even with some ebay parts when it comes to DSM its everything around the motor that breaks ie transfer case, rear end, the break system on 1g DSM sucks ive replaced two calipers not to mention the forced fit wheel barrings but again the Motors are premo and run great no matter how hard your on it.

What is with the second to top comment? 4G63s can flow over 240/180 factory, 340/280 ported (with less lift than a Honda). Honda K20s flow 280/190 stock and 340/270 ported. I mean granted not every port job is the same, some people do better ones than others but they flow about the same from what I've seen! Honda does have the VTEC advantage but that's about it, 4G63s are made for boost and can still run 280 duration cams.

You have figured it out to a fine science, pinpoint number across the board that represent all the heads. Wow. THAT is impressive. The K heads are similar in flow, but the different 4g heads are not similar in flow.
Since when has ANY factory 4g out flowed a factory K ??? (even using a CT9a head)
@ctthenerd Quickly grabbing general intake numbers from reputable sources.
The 1g head flows around 230 in, 245 with mild port. The oem 7/8/9 head flows around 280 in, 300 w/ valves, and Cosworth has a worked 7/8/9 head flowing 335 in.
A Dart B18 head flows 320 in.
The OEM K head varies, but all flow around 285-295, any K head w/ valves flows around 305-315.
A mild PP K can flow around 330. Using extreme examples (like using a Cosworth head) show the K flowing up to 365 intake.
@ctthenerd Compression Ratio, Engine Speed, Cam lobes, and the Head Flow are ALL critical in the insane n/a power, and all play a part. Can't have one without the other. If one of these was missing, it would take away the insanity that are N/A Honda engines.
The Vtec often get DITCHED at high levels of power/performance. Vtec is not the key. Vtec killer VT are the top tier of PERFORMANCE for a Honda head, Vtec just allows for a "polite" engine in "normal" driving conditions.
@eeeen321 well said, vtec is similar to having a stock cam until 4500ish rms and then a more agressive cam after that. most think vtec increases power, which is not the case. it only allows the engine to keep making power as it gets into the higher rpms.

only 2 years of dsms had that problem of crankwalk which was the 97-97 and every single one of them were still reliable only 1 out of 100 had that problem and second you can put whatever cam you want in a dsm ive owned a type r integra and now i own a gsx i run the crap out of my cars and neither have left me stranded the 4g63 is much cheaper to make faster and easier. 500hp 4g63= h beam rods arp headstuds and metal headgasket and dont forget the massive turbo and intercooler.

Common Sense would say it was because of the high CR, crazy aggressive Vtec lobes, and awesome head flow from the factory. Not to mention, Honda purpose-builds performance engines N/A.
The 4g, in all forms, runs low CR, on mild to mundane cam lobes, with a head that flows at par levels.
EVEN if you were able to run the CR and aggressive cam lobes (vtec lobes have very aggressive deg/dur), the 4g head would not be able to flow enough.

What is with the second to top comment? 4G63s can flow over 240/180 factory, 340/280 ported (with less lift than a Honda). Honda K20s flow 280/190 stock and 340/270 ported. I mean granted not every port job is the same, some people do better ones than others but they flow about the same from what I've seen! Honda does have the VTEC advantage but that's about it, 4G63s are made for boost and can still run 280 duration cams.

@ctthenerd Quickly grabbing general intake numbers from reputable sources.
The 1g head flows around 230 in, 245 with mild port. The oem 7/8/9 head flows around 280 in, 300 w/ valves, and Cosworth has a worked 7/8/9 head flowing 335 in.
A Dart B18 head flows 320 in.
The OEM K head varies, but all flow around 285-295, any K head w/ valves flows around 305-315.
A mild PP K can flow around 330. Using extreme examples (like using a Cosworth head) show the K flowing up to 365 intake.

@ctthenerd Compression Ratio, Engine Speed, Cam lobes, and the Head Flow are ALL critical in the insane n/a power, and all play a part. Can't have one without the other. If one of these was missing, it would take away the insanity that are N/A Honda engines.
The Vtec often get DITCHED at high levels of power/performance. Vtec is not the key. Vtec killer VT are the top tier of PERFORMANCE for a Honda head, Vtec just allows for a "polite" engine in "normal" driving conditions.

@eeeen321 well said, vtec is similar to having a stock cam until 4500ish rms and then a more agressive cam after that. most think vtec increases power, which is not the case. it only allows the engine to keep making power as it gets into the higher rpms.

only 2 years of dsms had that problem of crankwalk which was the 97-97 and every single one of them were still reliable only 1 out of 100 had that problem and second you can put whatever cam you want in a dsm ive owned a type r integra and now i own a gsx i run the crap out of my cars and neither have left me stranded the 4g63 is much cheaper to make faster and easier. 500hp 4g63= h beam rods arp headstuds and metal headgasket and dont forget the massive turbo and intercooler.

@eeeen321 exactly thats why the compression ratio is so much higher not just cause the aggresive degree on the cam lobes but the b series motors are high reviving thats whats so nice about having a boosted honda if ur obd you can get so many cool things for one cel shift light 2step but the ability to have vtec kick in at lower rpm and than after vtec kicks in hard your boost is spooling and than hits so much threw the low and mid and than high range rpms and the fact u can hit above 9,000 rpm

Common Sense would say it was because of the high CR, crazy aggressive Vtec lobes, and awesome head flow from the factory. Not to mention, Honda purpose-builds performance engines N/A.
The 4g, in all forms, runs low CR, on mild to mundane cam lobes, with a head that flows at par levels.
EVEN if you were able to run the CR and aggressive cam lobes (vtec lobes have very aggressive deg/dur), the 4g head would not be able to flow enough.

Example I have a foxbody mustang with a 347ci stroker, 411 Pinon(final drive), slicks, weight reduction up the ass,ect and PLENTY of power but when it spins and/or the suspension isn't designed for what it can do...it don't matter one bit that i have the power to weight advantage.
