  • Really great tune. Like it a lot. Could even be used as an ending theme imo (depending on how the story is concluded). And I don't get where it's style is supposed to differ too much from the MM formula. Would fit in perfectly into a MM game I'd say. And even if it sounded different, who cares as long as it's as good as this. Keep it up and thanks for great tunes so far!

  • Also, I hope you don't mind me using this in my Rock Man 1 Hack by replacing Ice Man's Stage Theme with this. It really fits with the new Color Scheme I put in as well.

  • To me, this sounds like a Sad Rock Man Ending or something (sorry, but I always liked to call Mega Man by his original name for some odd reason). It seems like it has the perfect mood to be a sad ending for a Rock Man Game.

  • This is very good music, but i don't think it should be Comet Woman's theme. Her current theme is one of my favorite pieces of MegaMan movement, so i hope MegaPhilX sticks with that one. If anything, maybe it can be YokuMan's. ^_^

  • megaphilx is thinking of making this the 'comet woman' theme for megaman unlimited...i think he should!

  • Now that's what I called a kick ass music made! Ignore these 2 dumbass dislikers Kevin! This theme you made was pretty epic! :)

  • has a megaman 8-ish feel to it

  • Glaicer man.

  • where can get a soundfont of the Classic Megaman NES Noise Drums

  • Arctic Man

  • I know I bring absolutely nothing new to the table here in this comment but: God this song is awesome! ( : Especially the beginning.

  • SNOW MAN

  • I'M IN LOVE.

  • If youtube had a replay button, I would click a thousand times on it.

  • @Megamanstar774 It does :)

  • Actually, it remind me a lot from Esperanto.

  • Good song, although despite the 8-bit sound it sounds like something that would fit more closely with X4-X6 or something.

  • You know? This kind of reminds me of that "Fantasia 2000" film with the whale that's trapped in an iceberg. I have never had an 8-bit tune stir up fond memories until now.

  • Did I mention it reminded me of Aquatic Ambiance.

  • I actually rather like this one, but parts of it reminds me of Aquatic Ambiance from Donkey Kong Country. Looking back in the comments, it seems I'm not the only one who made that connection.

  • This sounds like it could be an epilogue/credits theme. Another fine job!!

  • The first 30-40 seconds of the song is very reminiscent of Megaman Battle Network. Expand upon that, change the percussion around and throw in the GBA square effects and you're set!

  • Your attempt for ice/water stage is successful, nice job! Could hear the sadness of the music and using the triangle echo is brilliant!

  • Everyone is a critic..... Let's see you make something even close to what he's putting out. Then critique him all day long.

  • I actually love this one a ton. Even from the first note's vibrato. It's a wonderful touch.

Let's call this one.......Iceberg Man perhaps? idk lol

    Nice work, Kevin.

  • i'm gonna keep saying r-type in the hopes that you will make an r-type style theme. here i go. (inhales).

  • also the Music Lobby COMPELLS you to learn FamiTracker

  • @HertzDevil : NEVER.

  • @kevvviiinnn Most notes do not start with an immediate vibrato; Vibratos are too shallow and not 'vibrant' enough (inb4 Snake Man); Overuse of arpeggios make Mega Man cry; I haven't heard many of your works that include pulsates and retrigs; The percussion samples sound overused already; No chorus from you (sth along the lines of MM4).

Come on kevvviiinnn, you don't deserve to disappoint me.

AND FIX THAT UGLY NON-MEGA MAN FONT ALREADY.

  • @HertzDevil : The immediate vibrato is only used twice for effect. I suppose I could strengthen the vibrato a bit. Excessive arpeggio may not sound very Mega Man, but it's part of what defines my style so I think I'll keep it, heh. As for pulsates/retrigs, I'll keep that in mind. It's always good to have some more variety. The percussion is the same because I use the same decay/pitch for most of my songs. Not that big of a deal for me, but eh.

Thanks for the critique, man. :^)

  • @Sacredfire059 : Actually, I'm echoing the triangle with a 50% square. :^)

  • @Kevvviiinnn Nevermind, OH GOD YOU GENIUS

    I mean yes. Good work.

  • The snare sounds like it's from some Game Boy game.

    Get better samples.

  • @InterrobangPie : They are samples of straight long noise with zero sustain and sharp decay applied to them. Maybe it was the pitch I used?

  • @Kevvviiinnn Yes, probably.

Rip some samples from these Mega Man games you are trying to emulate. Or get one of your henchmen to do it for you.

  • @InterrobangPie : Thing is, I'm not trying to emulate a specific Mega Man game. I also don't really see much point in ripping more samples when I can just increase the decay or shape the noise some other way.

And henchmen? What are you on about?

  • Cool!

  • @psn8bit if he doesn't learn it at stage 50 then it warrants more dislikes

  • Wow! That was awesome!

I think this one nails the more quiet ambiance like in a water stage without sounding like a different style like Stage 47.

Sounds perfect for a stage like WhirlpoolMan's or something like that. ( :

  • @MegaPhilX : Nice to see you drop in every once in a while, Phil. Thanks!

Also, is WhirlpoolMan just an RM you made up on the spot, or is it from a game/fan game?

  • @Kevvviiinnn

I made that up on the spot. ( :

  • Downloading. I have to get this one on my Cellphone.

  • i beg you to learn how to utilize vibrato at its best

    until then, dislike

  • Comment removed

  • @HertzDevil : Okay, mind telling me where I could start? Is the vibrato not strong enough or what? For some notes I prefer having no vibrato.

  • It would be perfect as a Final Wily Stage theme. Or even an Extra Stage theme. :3

  • So pretty.

  • Create and upload archive of your music please :D

  • Did anyone else get a DKC Aquatic ambience vibe here? 0:26

  • awesome! you really catch the icy/water feeling this time! can't wait for stage 49! are you planning something special for your 50th stage?

  • @gigaganon : Thanks!

    That's the plan. Hope I don't disappoint!

  • This is awesome. It could probably make a pretty good Wily stage theme, too (seems the trend lately is for the third stage to have music that's more downtempo than the first and second stages).

  • Sounds kinda like Ballade's theme from Mega Man 10. I like it.

  • Not Megaman at all in my opinion. But hey, I love it.

  • I don't know about a stage, but if this were an opening before a title screen, I'd think, "This game is gonna KICK. MY. ASS."

  • @PenguInspiration I'm doing that ha ha ha. I can't wait to incorporate this song into the introduction to Mega Man Eternal :).

  • I love it :). Really great job :D.

  • This is seriously fantastic, sounds like an anime opening or something. Sounds way less "generic" than a typical mega man style track.

  • Another emotional tune, and I like it. Now... this can be when the princess gets out of the sewer dungeon, which had lead her into a cave, and out teh cave to a blizzardy mountain. Yep. Now, ya' just gotta make one where climbs down teh mountain to the the foot of an ice forest, leading back to the outer city part of the castle. I'm assuming she'll have to change her identity here, gather up stuff she needs, and get out of there and find out what's going on in her family. :O

  • Sounds pretty calmish and almost soothing, kinda like Frost MAn's theme from Mega Man 8.

  • This reminds me of Chill Man's theme for its calm and slow pace. Doesn't quite sound as Mega Man-ish as your other tunes, but that doesn't stop it from being absolutely wonderful.

  • While it's a good song, the RPG style hasn't left your head.

  • Kinda reminds me of that Ballade stage from the MM10 dlc.

  • It's too good to be Megaman style imo =P
