Toonami was one of the greatest block that I've ever enjoyed in my entire life when I was a little child. I used to to come back from school, turn on the television, and enjoy Toonami so much.

I'm really tired of family Guy. MD all the shows related to that show (American dad, Cleveland shoe) are just the same as family Guy just with different characters. It was funny back in 99-2000 but its getting old annoying to me. Even the newer episodes of the Simpsons are going down the drain. These shows have been so over written nd the humor becomes dumbed down every new episode. How can shows like that even come close to good anime? toonami was amazing :) they not only exposed me to anime too (born in1993) but it's because of this show, that after my older sister taught me how to draw anime, I'd even watch this show as research to better myself as an anime artist :) I miss this block

I was happy with toonami cancelled. I remember when it was good before it took over saturday and kicked out the saturday video game simulation block. After 2005 Toonami transformed into faux toonami with a majority of bad programming.
Yet 3 years later, CN is still trying to pull shit off. The only one that actually does shit is Nickelodeon, even if they haven't come out with a new show in almost 2 years that isn't dumb or gay.
The only anime is Beyblade and Pokemon. After that they show nothing else.
I only saw cartoon network for a week when I was visiting the US back in 2007. Canada doesn't have such a kick ass station, we had shit Teletoon because of stupid canadian content laws.

You make some great points regarding the lack of true substance on CN now. Now that I look back, I used to watch a lot of TV. I stopped once Toonami got canned and when Adult Swim got lazy. I like Outlaw Star too and finally got it on DVD. I think it has a good message that stimulates essential thought about one's own existence and purpose.

I've watched so many YouTube videos about the 90s shows and, being a 90s kid, I can't help but feel a wave of nostalgia just wash over me. ok here's my two cent, in my opinion because of toonami, knd, and other of our fave shows being canceled, cartoon network lost the greater part of its audience to kids who "matured early" and moved on to mtv. Honestly, i feel very sorry for kids now. they're going to have to grow up without: DBZ, IGPX, Gundum, Knights of The Zodiac, Yu Yu Hakusho etc. they will never have a moment when theyre sitting in front of the tv in they're pjs with a bunch of empty caprisuns. I was happy with toonami cancelled. I remember when it was good before it took over saturday and kicked out the saturday video game simulation block. After 2005 Toonami transformed into faux toonami with a majority of bad programming.

You make some great points regarding the lack of true substance on CN now. Now that I look back, I used to watch a lot of TV. I stopped once Toonami got canned and when Adult Swim got lazy. I like Outlaw Star too and finally got it on DVD. I think it has a good message that stimulates essential thought about one's own existence and purpose.

I've watched so many YouTube videos about the 90s shows and, being a 90s kid, I can't help but feel a wave of nostalgia just wash over me. If I could have any superpower, I would turn back time and freeze it in the 90s where shows were wonderful, reality tv shows didn't run rampant, there were positive messages in shows like Captain Planet, and shows were so entertaining you'd drop everything that you were doing and sacrifice precious sleep time JUST to watch every minute of it. RIP 90s and 80s.

ok here's my two cent, in my opinion because of toonami, knd, and other of our fave shows being canceled, cartoon network lost the greater part of its audience to kids who "matured early" and moved on to mtv. Honestly, i feel very sorry for kids now. they're going to have to grow up without: DBZ, IGPX, Gundum, Knights of The Zodiac, Yu Yu Hakusho etc. they will never have a moment when theyre sitting in front of the tv in they're pjs with a bunch of empty caprisuns.
