On a VERY practical engineering level BIODIESEL is MUCH better for a diesel engine, even as a supplement, than straight diesel fuel. Straight diesel fuel burns dry and does not lubricate the "top end" of the engine anywhere NEARLY as well as biodiesel, ask ANYONE who has used it in their vehicle.
