You'll have to use a video editing program to export the audio track to mp3, I used Adobe Premiere which is expensive. Google, "video editing software, export audio" to find other maybe more afforable programs that will do this. Good luck!

Its more about file size, you can upload a maximum of 6mb.

Im pretty sure that 4 is the limit, you should probably check this, try deleting an old song then upload the new one, I think it will work!

Try signing out restarting the browser then upload again, if you still get the error there may be a myspace issue, these usually get resolved. Also make sure there is no DRM on your song, only upload your own content to be in compliance with their EULA.

Thanks!--I think the bug is in the pop-up--"Select from existing" If you just TYPE the data it takes, but if you SELECT it, the error appears.

WEIRD--After it deleted and then wouldn't let me add, I hit the back button a re times, clicked on the song I had just deleted, and hit "edit". Put just the song name-nothing else, and hit update--Voila the magic add MP3 page.

FYI-Myspace says you can have up to 6 songs now...

what the best quality to upload to myspace?I save all of my mp3's in 320/CD Transparent so they are nice and rich but when I upload to myspace they sound dull. I know myspace uses a lower sample rate but what is ideal for uploading to them?

I'd go up a level or two with the sample rate when you are ripping, MySpace is probably compressing it too, just like YouTube does so you'll want to start out with higher quality to avoid that tinny sound.

Im going to update the video this weekend for the new MySpace layout.

This is the most important step! MySpace and MySpace Music are two different types of accounts. You must sign up as an artist to upload songs.

I went to myspace FAQ it says put your myspace to version 2.0 and you will be able to upload your music like you could in the past.

Use iTunes, go to Advanced, Importing, Select mp3 and a compression option. Heads Up! You are only allowed to upload songs recoded by you and/or your band, MySpace will delete the account if you upload copyright music.

You need to convert your audio file to an mp3 with iTunes,import the song into your iTunes library, then select the song in the library and right click, choose convert to mp3. This will makes it an mp3. To find the song,right click the song, choose "Show in Windows Explorer" that opens a window with the song. Drag it to your desktop (These instructions are for Windows PC's it would be slightly different for Mac, maybe someone can post)
